1.2 CUMMING? NEEDS UPDATE!
Always accepting suggestions for websites to add and help filtering out dead links. (;))
Thanks to the now inactive TRaK (http://tremulous.net/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=2642), who put in the work to put the first Useful Mapping Links topic together and keep it updated for quite a while.
If you see a site that is outdated, PM me or post here and I'll either update or remove the link. If you'd like someone (yourself or otherwise) to be added to the Tremulous Mapper's section, again, PM me or post here with a link.
The Tremulous Specific Links section has been removed in favor of them being tagged as either community or official links. This allows them to be in their proper sections while still easily being defined as game-specific links.

::)
I'm here on no less than a bi-monthy basis, which is enough to keep up a thread like this for such an old engine & small community. Recently, though, I've been lurking daily. An infrequently-updated-but-more-up-to-date-than-anything-else thread like this is much better than the lack of one. TRaK's gone. I'm not. Case, meet point.
... Then go inside point.
Case in point.

Thanks Plague, I had a urgent need of some links, and now you gave them, when some links were lost in teh internetz. Was planning too to sweep old and find some new links. But didn't got time to do that because of my other important activities IRL.
+1 to you ;D

Didn't realize you were including Reference links here's some (May post some more later (Sorry about untidiness was kind of rushed :P));
http://www.game-artist.net/forums/ - "Work In Progress" & "Finished Projects" are handy though not just environments. "Sketchbooks" Has concept art.
http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1007419 - Source engine RDS thread (Note: The forum has a cap on the maximum number of post in a thread so if you don't see any posts in the thread for a few hours, then chances are a new thread has been created (Final comments may reflect this))
http://www.interlopers.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3153&sid=3e11a8cc722adf4dcdc35485b20a8229 - Source engine RDS thread
http://forums.mapcore.net/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=1552&sid=7f32b7351f903723a96ee791b9c2e886 - RDS thread for random engines and games
http://ns2devs.com/index.php?/forum/15-level-design/ - Natural Selection 2's Mapping forum
http://www.polycount.com/forum/index.php - "3D & 2D Videogame Art" Contains plenty of interesting works (Though not all Environments)
http://forums.cgsociety.org/
http://conceptships.blogspot.com/ - Concept art blog various artists, most art is of ships but some include environments.
http://www.worldofleveldesign.com/forums/ - A level design board.
http://lvlworld.com/ - Quake 3 map repo, plenty of screenshots
http://www.fpsbanana.com/ - Screenshots in maps section of site, mostly for source engine games
http://www.moddb.com/mods - Some mod works are quite impressive (For example 'Black Mesa')

Links are much appreciated K66.
Any ideas for improvement to the list (be it a new subsection or a different way of organizing) are welcome. I'm adding links as I come across them.
-
No problem. Also, you may want to separate the tutorials and articles.

Just keepin' 'er at the top 'til the someone gives me a sticky. ;)
-
Replaced old sticky. 2 general notes:
1) If anything needs moderator action it might be better to pm an active mod (or semi-active like me) directly and request it, than just waiting it out. If it's useful we won't mind making a few clicks.
2) Threads are indeed getting old and especially reference threads suffer from this. You'll notice that anyone who comes up with a good new or replacement guide in the strategy section gets a sticky, and it won't be different here, or in any other forum dealing with trem. However, mods have (had) their specific subforums they check(ed), and some might now be without their regular oversight. That's why 1) is so important.

Thanks for the sticky and I'll definitely keep that in mind. I was thinking about PMing a mod but was rather hesitant because of my position in the community. Anyway, lesson learned, and thanks again. ;)
