You're on local. Try internet.

i entered this
\connect 72.36.226.187    to fix it  and it came up with ...

broadcast: print "server: \connect 72.36.226.187\n"

it is on internet and i have refreshed it many times ........ i just dont see any servers .....

Check your install.
If you have dial-up or slower that might be your problem.
Maybe try some other servers.. :/.. seeing as how your using \connect and you have tjws ip to connect to this is something that just happened recently and hasn't been happening since install.. or am I wrong?

It might be obvious but, "Get new list"?

1. if source (in left top of screen) is Local, press it once so it will change to Internet (Source: Internet)
2. press "Get new list"
3. if not working, check ur firewall and try again
4. pick up a server ;)
