So, when I open up trem and connect to a server, I get these major lag-spikes. It used to be, I would just get them randomly for a few seconds, but now it does a 3 second freeze, and then 1 second of normal ping and fps... then back to a 3 second freeze; and continues this pattern. I can't play at all. It makes clicking and moving my mouse a task.
When these freezes occur, everything on the chart goes to max. Ping/Server Ping/Fps to 0.
Here are my computer's details...
Processor - 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory - 1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
Graphics Chipset - Intel GMA 950
Screen Resolution - 1280 x 800
I used to be able to play trem without this happening. Any ideas what's causing this?
Thanks ahead of time.

What OS do you use? 1.1 or 1.2? Are you using a non-stock client? What's your ISP?
-
What server? Is it in the same country? Are you using WiFi?

I play with WiFi and I have no problems. Playing on a server in a different country shouldn't affect large ping spikes, it should be a fairly stable high ping. I would guess that it's the ISP or the server (or maybe he has some corroded wires?). Make sure that if you have a roommate or you still live with your family that it isn't the result of their streaming or downloading.

YOU WILL LOSE ALL BINDS/SETTINGS IF YOU DO THIS AND YOUR GUID AND ADMIN LEVELS.
Please think before you post.

Not everyone knows this. Next time suggest backing up (and say why ) BEFORE you suggest deleting something. :-\
