Looks like caulk is showing. Check your floor textures...
Also duplicate brushes can make such effect. Try select floor brush and delete it. If there still another brush than it was duplicate brushes. Its one of common errors - you pressing [space] (duplicating brush) but not moving it anyway or something. You cant see that two identical brushes in same place in editor. You can only use shift-click brush and delete it to see there was no another brush 'under' it. In any case you always can make undo. =]
My bet too is two brushes on same area.

Don't remember what other errors can make HOM effect.
Either you have a leak somewhere, caulk is showing, or you've got brushes stacked ontop of each other.
i also see light leaks. If we cant figure it out, give the .map file, and well find out.
Light leaks isnt critical. It only means bad brush work and can be solved on latest stages. But suck 'HOM' efferc really means error.
I had the same trouble when I applied niveus' see through grate floor to a bottom floor texture. You can see directly thru it.
nevermind =] thanks guys I fixed it, it had 2 brushes on the floor which made it leaking
put [SOLVED] in topic name then. =D
