I dont know in what theme post this,sorry if its bad way.
I have a question that very interesting to me(maybe im not alone,and there is more people that think about this)
Know that its ridiculous ask for developers answer but...
Is there any chance that Tremulous will get a HD remake?Or something like that?

Tremulous is currently being redone in HD by an independent group of people. Unfortunately it is taking a while as all models, textures, maps and sounds are being remastered to take advantage of Sparse Voxel Octree technology. They are having issue recreating the sounds to make best use of the graphics card, but found moving the renderer to your DSP improved performance by as much as 5%.

GAH!!! "HD" means nothing!!! HD refers to screen resolutions at or above 720p (1280x720).
Tremulous IS getting new models for 1.2, but they are coming with 1.2.

Im expecting that sometime there will be official sequel or remake
I got even few ideas about that,im not the developer but i think we can say some ideas and suggestions.
It can be commercial game(HD remake or sequel).
Money..they can make preorders it can be work like donation,who preorder can take part in alpha tests\betas,and other nice things(if someone dont understand what preorder opportunities i mean its like in Primal Carnage,Natural Selection 2 and other games)
Thanks to this they can be indie company and dont lose they independence.
I think that many fans want continued of this game,i understand that this is hard work but people support you guys,many people,for this yeras game got a lot of fans,and its good that you still support this project for years.

This is an open source community. I think most people here would strongly object to commercializing tremulous. The main thing we need is more active and contributing community members, people to help with sounds, textures, modeling, code, etc. If you have something to contribute, don't be shy, put it out there.
Also, please work on your spelling/grammar. It's very hard to read.

As much as I enjoy Tremulous making it cost anything would turn me away. How will money help anything?

The poll is pointless, an "HD remake" is entirely to vague, as for engine swapping, Xreal would be the candidate. HOWEVER, all of this is not gunna happen until 1.2 is out.

Just discovered few time ago that Amanieu leaved Tremulous and joined Urban Terror dev.team. Can anyone say how many coders left in Tremulous project? Under coders i meand those peoples who can really make serious changes, not only recompile with different variable values. Just curious about current development team.

But Aman was never in the dev team in the first place...
I'm unsure as to what you're trying to say with that post. Are you asking about just coders in the dev team or people who play with the code in general?

The "sequel" is underway, it'll be out Thursday.
1.1 already has an HD version, but it's hidden and needs to be unlocked with these cheat codes:
/set r_mode -1
/set r_customwidth 1280
/set r_customheight 720
Voila! Tremulous in full HD 3D panorama awesomeness meaningless buzzwords.

this is, as far as i know, the current status of the dev team. welcome ingar (this month) and rezyn (this year). i'm sure benmachine, dasprid, and who are active on IRC, but afaik dolby is long gone, as are veda, jex, mop, overlow, and tjw. khalsa, ingar, and norf are the only people who bother to show up here very often.
