Title: Basislisk idea
Post by: swamp-cecil on December 06, 2010, 09:49:56 pm
every pro bassy has been at least 5 times been TK'ed by a teammate when holding a human. How about when a basislisk holds a human, they are immune to being TK'ed?

That just means the other alien can't aim properly. The human isn't even moving!

Being tked isn't as bad as a goon pouncing your victim out of your grasp. Your previous victim then turns and shoots you ded.

Agreed, I'd like to see score points given to the basi that's holding a human that is killed by another alien.  I'd also like to see score points given for healing.

Why? I don't think people are reluctant to go basi and some people seem to like playing basi exclusively. Score does not really seem to be an incentive because it is pretty useless.

Nice idea to make aliens more powerfull. =]
Turn on FF. Make at least one lisk. One alien hurting choosen 'victim', lisk heals and gain score points. Wow! You even dont need leave base after it till s3! This strategy pwns! More victims - faster as3! Aliens owns everything!

Your sarcasm is lost on us since points do not factor into stage count, only kills do. That is why I said adding to the score is useless...

Friend :granger: gets points for building, so why shouldn't Friend :basilisk: get points for healing and trapping.

In case someone farms for score, but as long as that doesn't get out of hand it would make a lot of sense.

Maybe make the auto credits/evos increase slightly with basilisk?

There's one score for all actions kept and what should count towards it is being argued over. If this is going to be a serious matter then you might as well propose that 2-3 columns exist for separate scores. Personally I don't give a shit because I don't make it a mission to sit there and heal people as a basi unless I come across them.

TKs should stay for basilisks who are holding people. However, though I can't think of a way right now to get this done, basilisks should get the full evo value and score when a teammate kills someone they were holding if the person was held all the way until they died, except in certain situations; if you're holding someone in their base and you have 5 people shooting at you and your teammate kills your S2 armored victim, it should be different, as they wouldn't have died if your teammate hadn't been there, and you likely made a bad decision anyways since the whole case is an unlikely situation.

if someone grabs a human forever, the human can just /kill itself.
Like for example your givinga human a free hat. some mara comes, and dosent see you and tries to bit to humans head. Its not anyones fault, and its kinda unfair since the bassilisk got the human. Its HIS kill, not the maras.

I've made this suggestion before.

The response was that if you don't want the basilisk to take friendly fire damage, then turn friendly fire off and quit your bitching.

I found that an unsatisfying response as well.

This.

It's a game. Friendly fire is on. TKing happens. Let's move on.

:granger: does not get points for building, you get a free evo every 2 min

Grangers DO get points periodically whether they build or not.
EVERY class gets a free evo every two minutes (assuming they survive that long).

I thought it was a given now, that everyone got an evo or some small amount of credits every 2 minutes whether you died or not. Might've missed something in a recent changelog.

In 1.1 if you died or got a kill it reset the timer.

It is an evo for every 2 minutes spent *alive*. So dying does slow down the process a bit, but not much.
