Title: very quick question
Post by: Bender on July 30, 2006, 07:58:36 am
How do you make text binds... aka a hotkey for saying text like "nade!" or "Moving OM", etc.

Please note I did search for this and couldn't find anything, prob cause i dont know what i'm looking for exactly.

bind x "say_team OMG WE'RE GETTING RAPED AT BASE"

It's only like 10 characters to write down the bind, it probably took you way longer to find the link to that thread.. o_O

Anyway, if you don't know, you can set bind like that temporarily for one session by entering them in the console. For a permanent approach, put the binds, one per line, in a text file called autoexec.cfg, and put it in your Trem base directory.

For some very useful binds, though, do check out the thread PIE linked; you can piece together everyone's cfg files into your own custom one. A team-join hotkey is a must for getting on the team you want, first. :D

no, if people read the thread, they might get some binds and stop sitting in front of the armory for 30 seconds
