now, i dunno if this is the right spot, just correct me if it isn't.
anyhow, since i got a new computer (which is not so new but anyhow), (2.4 ghz processor, geforce 8800 gts, 4 gig ram), which i have installed GTK Radiant, but, whenever i create a command that alters the XYZ plane (graph like area), it runs unusually slow, which it takes round about 5-15 seconds to create a small box, only thing i do not understand, when i do so, i still use round about 10%cpu (i sit round bout 6-8% on desktop doing nothing) and running 46% ram approx, which is nearly the same as when i am idle. but, whenever i do anything else, (for example right click) it works, just anything that alters the camera or the xyz plane (graph like area) it lags, also, whenever i go to desktop, and go back to gtk radiant, i only see toolbar and seperators (in between texture area - camera, and camera/texture - xyz plane (graph like area) plus the borders of the window)
i'm sorry i can't give you more details, since i'm sorta lost myself, plus, i've found no previous posts relevant to this.
any ideas?

What radiant? Binary packages? Compiled from source? What OS?
Looking at the specifications, radiant should run fine in your box.
Look like you have video drivers problem.
UPD: Try NET Radiant! Its same, but not outdated, some bugs fixed, etc. I dunno why mappers still using GTK Radiant when NET Radiant exist. =D
