i was thinking and what about a tranquilizer gun. You have a gun the looks like a Ckit with green glowing thing in the center, and when an alien is shot, them fall asleep. Boosted aliens cant be tranked but when a alien is tranked they get the effect of when a human runs out of stamina.

lets make basilisks invisible then. I could only think of this good for some sort of granger mod.

@trank gun idea, I suggested that some time ago. They said no.

When you have an idea for something new you like, think to yourself, what does this actually add to the gameplay besides just another weapon/building/class? Just adding new stuff does not improve the game, and I don't see how this would be enjoyable (or balanced).

picture this,
A rant is walking out of the bunker and sees some easy prey. He charges and the human turns and shoots him once, the rant falls and stops in it's tracks. Then the human takes out his pistol and pistolates the rant.

I'd be really pissed if I was the rant. What kind of gun takes you out in one shot? Or are you one of those kiddies who never plays alien?

it would be a combination of passing out and lisk gass. And it fires REALLY slow, like 1/min, and it moves slow to like the luci balls

I think a tranq dart would be better as a one-time-use item. That way it could be used strategically if needed. It could be sold somewhat cheap, like 100 credits or so, as long as its effect are somewhat minimal, but still interesting.

That would have to be one freaking slow dart to not be op, and it would need to be massively expensive.

I was thinking of something that did the basi gas effect on the aliens, but considering how ridiculously easy it is to dodge alien attacks now, I'd say drop this whole concept altogether. If you would need the help of something like a tranquilizer gun to kill the aliens, you're not good or experienced enough to be a reliable non-dev feature designer. Get better at the game and you'll look back on this and realize why it wasn't a good idea.

With everything that's added you need to add something to counter it. I think the counter to this idea would be giving aliens the ability to stop humans from shooting. After all, you're taking away an alien's main advantage - mobility. Ridiculous ideas with no thought towards a counter.

what about adding this to ckit and also some low DPS
its range must be short
effect can be poison like. draining both some hp and stamina over time
and effect of stamina loss must be a slight slow down

edit:
damage: 20
(0, 4, 6, 7 , 3) over 5 seconds
if boosted target gets the first 4 dmg, it stops but target loses boost
reload: 5 seconds
ammo: inf
range: same as overmind attack range
effect on speed: reduced by 0.15 for 5 seconds

Why would you want a stamina draining weapon for humans? Aliens don't have stamina and... but the slowing down part makes sense, though I have no idea about how it could be implemented.
Other than that, effectively getting teammates out of the builder's way? :P
