Tremulous starts up fine, but when I try to create/connect to a server my computer freezes, sometimes it makes it past and is able to move for a bit, but then it also falls to the same fate.
And when I say freezing, I do not mean just the window. I mean the entire system freezes, the only way out of which is to restart.
The game -has- worked a few times, and I do mean few, three at most.
The settings do not save and thus it is always on High quality. sometimes before the computer freezes I am able to turn that down to give a few mroe seconds of being able to move around but it doesn't last long.
Just so no one off the bat assumes it's my system I can run tribes Venegance on High Quality, along with World of Warcraft and Counter Strike source.
Any help would be appreciated.

- you can delete your config file from trem to force reset to standard values.
- you obviusly have a driver problem/incompatibility you need to address
- you can save your setting exiting the game once you have change the settings: start, connect, change settings, exit ..done!. Maybe theres a console command for that?
- can you run other quake3 based games like Enemy Territory?.
-
What OS you on / Waht verson?
What Video card do you have?
CPU / RAM?

You got a software firewall? if yes, it may crash cause firewall tries to ask for permission.
If not, try to update ur display drivers, it usually helps

I deleted the config at first when it didn't work, it did nothing at all.
I have the most up to date driver's I can find.
That'd be an ideal solution if it didn't freeze when I entered the game.
I'm not sure, I haven't tried any other besides base quake 3.

Nope, I turned my firewlal off, all it does is annoy me by popping up at random intervals with some update information. And as I said above I have the most up to-date drivers.
