After having a pause of about 6 or less months, I wanted to play the game again... but it won't run :( When I start it, it's just black screen and very very laggy main menu song in the back ground. When I minimize the game, the screen goes normal and the main menu song starts playing normal speed without lags, but when I try to open it up, it does the same thing like before. Last time it ended up in having a BSoD for me. Trem 1.1 runs fine with no problems. Help me, help the granger :granger:
What OS? And try removing your autogen.cfg/autoexec.cfg (after backing them up of course).
Also run from a console or terminal if you can an post the results.

Re-installed the game completely, nothing was saved. Using Windows XP Service Pack 3.

Whaaaat?
Instead of copying from console, you can switch out of the game (open the console and alt+tab) and copy the stdout.txt file in the game folder (gotta do it while Tremulous is running since it gets deleted when Tremulous quits)

Ummm... I can't. It's just lagging extremely much, and the only button that repsonds is the Windows "start" menu key (however, it switches to it only after about 12 seconds). Well, I will see if there is a possibility to open the console.

Already did it after I couldn't run the game. I got the BSoD after re-install.
Oh, and I can't see the console as the whole screen is black.
This time did Trem 1.1 ---> Mods ----> GPP
Ended up in having the game crash (not even loading up, just showing a white screen) after closing the game got the trem console pop up.

Having checked, after running tremulous-gpp.exe and having it fail you should see an stderr.txt file appear in the tremulous installation directory, pastebinning its contents might be helpful.
I have no idea what did I do whatsoever, but 1.2 runs again!!! However, a huge performance difference can be seen.
Version ---- fps
1.1 -------- 60-90
1.2 before - 40-60
1.2 now ---- 20-30
Seriously, it seems Trem just runs so choppy now :(
