Title: new members who don't post should leave
Post by: DIGI_Byte on August 04, 2006, 01:41:59 am
i think that members who join trem should make atleast one post in the first week or so of joining or there account should be deleted.

many ppl are joining but arn't even saying anything. for all we know they could be bots like pipec

(i smacked him on the head with a BAN hammer i hoped it worked)

And you, on the other hand, would never be banned under that system SINCE YOU MAKE SO MANY BLOODY SPAM POSTS.

It is QUALITY that counts, NOT QUANTITY!

I think every new member should make at least 14 retarded posts a week, or else he/she/its account can be deleted.

THERE IS A FREAKIN' EDIT BUTTON FOR A REASON! The member list -- the one you only found out about after wasting another thread, and Maybe two or three posts on? Heh.
Anyway, Why delete the account? That'll frustrate and drive away people who don't post but plan on it, and only try to do it when they're moved to.

I dont agree. I mean even if people dont post, they could still return and use the Search button to look for tips and reduce their levels "n00bism" without having to re-register.

Woooow, come on guys, cut it back with the hostility .)

He is not soo wrong (this time), but only as there are members that joined 2001 and have zero posts.

But who cares? Do they clog up the system? Naaaaa
Is this really our place to decide who gets the stick? Naaaaa -> Mods/Admins!
Does any one understand him? Naaaaa -> His Parents?
Do we have a chance to get rid of him? Naaaa -> ... (He'll just bounce back)

What should we vote?
Hit F1 to close & purge this thread.

all im asking for is just one or two posts from each of them. just to know that they are with us.

it seams really rude too joining for nothing really. what do you gain by joining and not posting?

Some people might want to watch some threads, for updates and stuff.
And maybe some people joined to say "hey look, i was in the trem community since XXXX" or whatever.

They don't need to spam, or make the rest of the people know they are here.

Isn't that ironic coming from you... 4 threads on the first page alone and I've already seen threads asking you to shut it.

Every forum has no post members.

I would say that most forums have no-post members.  It's really not something to be upset about.

Are you mad?

If everybody who does not need to post pointless posts posts two pointless posts a day, the forums will be flooded with pointless posts. As you are the only one thinking pointless posts have some kind of pointless point, go on posting pointless posts. As you are world champion in posting pointless posts you won't have a problem posting pointless posts in the future. Those pointless posts are pointless enough to keep people pointlessly ranting you for your pointless posts, so we got all the most pointless fun we need with pointless posts and don't need any more pointless pointlessness by more pointless people posting pointless posts.

Thanks, Danny :P

Everyone has the right to remain silent. What some of us lack is the capacity too. Aren't the private-message and view-posts-since-last-visit features more than enough to warrant an account without further decreasing the S/N ratio?

What's wrong with joining at not posting?

Why do you think it's rude?

I think it is rude to start calling for account deletions when you've only just joined a community, and I also think it's rude to post loads of spam topics. Posting lots of topics does not make you a valued member of the community, you need to learn that.

Is there some way the admins can do a temporary posting ban for someone? If for example they were posting lots of spam?

We are not going to ban people who don't post. We'll only ban people from the forums if they try to hax it or if they're really, really, really, really annoying.

Hello mate,
,I have notice that people are somewhat anoyed by your senseless spamming on the forums. I suggest to slowdown your posting speed, relax and do whatever else.  Theres also the irc thing that may fit better your posting speed.
