Title: Tyrant charge-jumping
Post by: Kasofa on March 14, 2011, 08:44:34 pm
A tyrant jump is when said tyrant uses its charge ability to run up a slope and then become airborne, such as using the orange ground pipes in Nexus to jump into the upper cubby hole where aliens like to put the overmind. last night I also found that on the Arachnid map in the crate room, you can charge at the slanted side near the pipes to maintenance, land on top of them, then charge again at the edge of the longer pipe where it curves upwards to get on top of the platform. K13PTO tells me that Cele (or some other .pk) knows a different way with only one charge to get on top of the platform. Does anyone know of any other interesting tyrant jumps that people should know about?

I do, but Tyrant jumps, or anything tyrant, are a waste of time.

I remember when I found how to use the tyrant half-pipe on arachnid and that nexus one I've always liked to use as a human. Fun times.

There are plenty of little tricks you pick up after playing this game long enough but some have changed significantly in GPP due to the way you bounce off slopes now. Personally I preferred it how it was where:

But you asked about tyrant jumps and for that I can't think of so many:

Seems like the best slope tricks are for humans though:
