So there is this promo video on tremulous.net which can also be found on youtube, but I am at a loss to what some of the maps are in the video, particularly at 2:13, 2:20, and 2:24

2:13 is Flap (http://downloads.mercenariesguild.net/maps/map-flap.pk3).
-
There is one map I don't recognise.
2:20 and 2:24 (I believe it's the same map).
-
And that map is called Siege made by OverFlow :)

http://maps.dtrem.com/base/map-siege-1.1.2.pk3 (http://maps.dtrem.com/base/map-siege-1.1.2.pk3)
http://maps.dtrem.com/base/map-siege-112.pk3 (http://maps.dtrem.com/base/map-siege-112.pk3)
edit: Very interesting map! Building is not allowed, humans can't enter alien base, but aliens can leave it (there is trigger for that, it's not magic). Apparently it has broken teleport, so it cannot be played.
edit2: Seems like 1.1.2 version is fixed (and 112 is probably the same(or atleast it looks like)) :)

You should have waited for the release of 1.2

2:16 is gloom, you should know that.

He probably does know that, and that would be the reason he didn't ask what the map at 2:16 is. ::)

Siege was never even officially released, it's to be included in 1.2. At least that's what OverFlow said 5 years ago :p

Back when 1.2 was planned to be released? Oh, those were the good old days.

There are actual plus and minus buttons near somebody's name for a reason. ::)

It more or less is. (Karma points let you know who is a good and useful poster ((or more realistically who is a more popular poster)) versus an unhelpful poster or spammer. The idea is that if someone makes good posts they will get more points, and vice verca. So therefore if you like or agree with a post someone made you can + one them.)
Anyways, my suggestion was just that people could use the +/- (build/decon) buttons instead of spamming with replies of +1, which, if that's all you can bother to contribute, you probably shouldn't post at all in this situation.

But saying +1 allows you to show someone why their karma just went up. As posts don't have specific karma no one knows what post gained them extra. By saying +1 you can show someone appreciation if you can't think of anything else to say.
