Post by: Ingar on April 14, 2011, 11:22:51 pm
Wasteland

A skybox for the Tremulous mapping community.

Download:
http://ingar.satgnu.net/files/tremulous/env-wasteland.pk3 (http://ingar.satgnu.net/files/tremulous/env-wasteland.pk3)

The pk3 contains the skybox images, all source files,
and a boxmap so you can see it for yourself.

Just put env-wasteland.pk3 where you would put any other map
and load it through the console:

Code: [Select]
map wasteland
The clouds and landscape were generated with the free edition of
Terragen Classic (http://www.planetside.co.uk/content/view/16/28/),
I used   spirit's skybox export scripts (http://maps.sp1r1t.org/tutorials/q3a_create_skybox/).
The stars and background nebulas were generated with Spacescape (http://alexcpeterson.com/spacescape).
Everything was mashed together with the Gimp (http://www.gimp.org).

Note: Spacescape skies need to be edited before they can be used in Tremulous:
- swap the left and right images
- rotate the top image 90 degrees counter-clockwise
- rotate the bottom image 90 degrees clockwise

The Wasteland skybox and associated source files are availble under the terms and conditions of the
Do What The Fuck You Want To Public License (WTFPL (http://sam.zoy.org/wtfpl/))

That looks like a great license. The skybox looks great too.

Awesome, thank you very much ingar. Might use that one in my next map.

This could really look cool in combination with atcs-hd. The sky is really amazing.

I can't find nothing to criticize, and open sky itself looks awesome.

One word; Neat! ;)
