Title: The other three senses.
Post by: kharnov on April 18, 2011, 06:28:32 am
We can obviously see and hear Tremulous characters, but I feel that this only gives a partial representation of what the Tremulous world is really like. Thus, we need to figure out what each Tremulous character feels, smells, and tastes like.

This is entirely up to your own interpretation.

Good luck!

Personally, I think grangers smell like old socks.

Grangers are soft, warm, and cuddly, and smell like baking cookies.  This is part of why everybody loves them so much.  I'm not at that part in the relationship to know what they taste like  :-[.

Creep tastes like peanut butter.

I am one of those people unfortunate enough to have accidentally consumed roasted granger. Before I received the horrific news, I honestly thought it tasted like wild duck, except oddly a bit more rubbery, and less oily (which I didn't mind). However, on a more positive note, a granger feels sort of like an octopus, except less smiley. Grangers actually share a few similarities with the octopus, they are both mostly water and muscle, and have little bone (tusks/beak in this case).

As for smell old socks is a good description. Unfortunately it smells...rather different, when roasted. :(

I haven't played in a while, but when I did I played exclusively Aliens. And, I gotta say, all those humans tasted sort of like imitation crab meat.

Hey guys, I just noticed that mara tasted like chicken wings.  They were actually quite delicious with flamethrower and a bit of spices on the side (for spices, ask a friend basi to gas the roasted mara meat - contrary to popular belief, basi gas is not poisonous or bad, but is rather very concentrated spice sauce - almost as hot as ghost peppers -> https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Ghost_pepper#As_a_weapon (https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Ghost_pepper#As_a_weapon)).  Anyway, if you add a bit of goon spit (bbq sauce) and have a touch of acid guacamole (tube stuff), then you've got yourself quite a good meal.  I shared mine with a granger and he was quite impressed.  Anyway, if you guys need any meal tips, let me know - it seems like we should have an Iron Chef competition one of these days - would be a nice break from just gathering ingredients all the time (standard killing match).  Any takers for map makers?

Peace out, I'm going to go have some SNACKS   :marauder: :marauder:

grangers smell like old socks.

The scent is very pungent like the sweaty footwear of a post-pubescent immigrant nymphet, an exquisite bouquet of hormones and titillating pheromones.

I think it depends on what you are at the time, meaning a granger may taste like duck to a human and cookies to a fellow alien.

You ask me, the smell of a granger is just plain sexy.
