So, is their anywhere i can find out how the points work, in game? Is their a thread i'm missing?
-
"Nah". The points are just for looks. ;) You kill, or destroy enemy builds.
Usually sometimes people compete for the points system ingame. Say you want to be on the top to show that your beast.
Especially like me I want to be on top and sadly I usually come in 2ndor 3rd or lower depending on what team.
If you heard of tremstats then there is your problem- http://stats.tremulous.net/tremstats/us1/index.php

Ignoring firstinaction for a moment, "because" "he makes" "very" "little" sense, Kill the enemy, get points, kill a bigger enemy, get more points, kill enemy base, get even more points, so killwhoring is less effective for getting large scores vs attacking the enemy base and killing structures, it's fairly straightforward.

Yeah pretty much what Tremulant said. You also get a little bit of points for building (in effect, holding a ckit or being a granger), and for healing people as a basi. If you want a high score, attack enemy buildings.

Oh wow is it me or did you guys just say what I have addressed already. Idk maybe just ignore me once again. I'm just clueless. ???

Can you make ckit get points while wielding blaster? While running places to move base I always hold blaster...

I know how it works, i'm kinda looking for specifics. Like, how many points for a turret? likewise for all structures and humans/aliens. Maybe a chart?

No, you were too busy tripping over yourself and generating pointless noise, telling us where you normally rank in public games for instance, if your command of english is so poor/weird/wtf?! you may wish to get to the point a little quicker from time to time.

It depends how much damage you did to it, because points are shared out like credits. I don't feel like explaining the mechanics in detail, because I feel like if you want to know things that precisely, you're probably missing the point of the system.

Haven't played in a few months, but I believe that killing an unarmored rifle human is worth 4 points. Killing a turret is 24 or 25 points...not sure about anything else. (these assume you did all the damage to your target, and didn't get assisted)

Turret is 14, IIRC.

:dretch: 4
:overmind: 54
:egg: 18
:acidtube: 15
That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I'm sure if you looked hard enough, you could find the values somewhere.

:human:4
:turret:15

When I made it I didn't really go hand-code a bunch of values. I just used the existing "value" numbers in tremulous.h that are used to determine credits/evos, which go through several scaling functions before rounding to integers.

Scores for building kills must gave gone down recently. That, or I've been away longer than I thought...
-
Nothing's changed with score in a very long time except for adding points for healing as a basi.

Sweet. Could you change points added for builders where as the points added are more based on what you build, and how much of it is completed, or health of buildables healed and built divided by something, as i can earn easy points being afk. Once, i had a noob feeder on my team versus two others which are also noobs, probs havn't seen the map yet, and i hid my self in a corner for like until 32:00, which is after SD, and when i came back my score was triple the noob teamate's score. And i didn't even do a thing!
