Hello
My name is ZebraHunter.
In-game today, we played with CaD:Yarou and CaD:Dracone and a new comer to join was Heart Of Air, better known to others as =Pk|:Solidarity, and a random UnnamedPlayer joins and disconnects(yarou my guess to mute me)
I have taken the liberty of providing my screenshots. These admins should be spoken to, since ain't this a a community server? What happened to idea of fair play...
This is how it went down, at the end of a game, dracone became clumsy and moved the reactor to centre, when aliens were down overmind, thus giving him the opportunity to build, yet his team was nowhere near him, where humans lost the game at that particular time.
Yarou, knows that he cannot use racial language like the offensive word nigger on tremulous.US1.server and he knows he would get muted, nevertheless, the previous game Heart of Air (Celestial Rage) was in the server, yet did nothing, i only found out he was admin, when he unmuted CaD:Yarou for the word nigger 5 mins later...I on the other hand was muted the whole game, how are the admins fair? Dracone, has a protip: Don't use abusive language, "degatory" (excuse my spelling) and yet he doesn't seem to implement it on his on clan mates? Yet he can quickly kick or mute other people... Why are admins becoming sloppy? To show there friends they are cool?
I visit trem.stats.US1 and to type in Heart of Air's name and to find out it was an admin by the name of celestial rage.. I thought this guy was a better admin than the rest, yet it seems admin rights on this server is becoming sloppy.

Yes the name i used in US TREM SERV 1 was Yarou's Goldfish, wasn't trying to troll him, since it wasn't a rude name or anything..... Me and Heart Of Air chatted a few times, but we spoke about things off the topic...

On the main topic, I really hadn't seen him say that, but it wouldn't surprise me that he had. Screenshots prove he did. It's a mute. Get over it.

It is customary to unmute people after several minutes. Yarou did not continue anything after I unmuted him. I didn't unmute you because I knew you would start complaining and start, for lack of a better word, start being a douche again (hence the reason for your initial mute). Also, your bitching at the beginning of the next game merely proved that I made the right decision not to unmute you in the previous game.

I only bitched, because he wasn't muted and if JAGS proved that, 2 games before that Yarou bled a guy called Uno from 100 to zero, why because he was shooting the last egg, and then he still has the nature of saying sory, but he was obviously trying to kill the egg himself not that guy UNO.

You didnt mute, it was a a unnamedplayer, quickly joins saying " no reasoning for Zebrahunter mute" when there was clear reasoning why he was supposed to be muted.. Sloppy adminship, sloppy..My bitchyness in the next game, proved? Well if you were muted for an entire game for bad admining then i think you would bitch? Or is that just a echo? Am i just talking to myself, i mean people would agree, if you were muted by a callvote " bad reasoning" (unnamedplayer) and disconnects after i get a mute, thats sure does make my day....

I refuse to look at the screenshots until you say what the problem is because from what I've read I don't see how you fit into this at all.

So if I understand correctly, someone used a racial epithet, you called a mute vote which passed, and the person was unmuted by an admin, which you think was an improper use of power. Perhaps a rule should be added that says that if Yarou is muted, he most likely deserves it and shall not be unmuted.
What I don't understand is why you posted so many screenshots instead of links (http://stats.tremulous.net/tremstats/us1/game_log.php?game_id=5777) to the games (http://stats.tremulous.net/tremstats/us1/game_log.php?game_id=5778) and maybe one screenshot (http://img839.imageshack.us/img839/4550/screenshot20110602at646.png) showing the unmute.

Don't underestimate a person's ability or will to fake things, especially when it would be so easy to fake any of the evidence available. I think your mistrust is misplaced.
Anyway, I'm curious as to why you (Zebra Hunter) were muted for longer than Yarou? Also, "Yarou's Goldfish" is a bit of a troll name, just like "Zebra Hunter Hunter" would be, or "Zebra Hunter's Zebra".
Anyway, TL;DR, people need to stop the spam threads. Please, please, PLEASE, take your complaints to ingame discussion first, forum PMs second, and use threads as a very very last resort IF and ONLY IF you cannot contact the admins. (Can that be in a sticky? And a signed disclaimer? And... and... and... Just EVERYWHERE?) If you feel like you were wronged and after discussion with the admins you still feel wronged, too damn bad. Go to a different server. This is not a "daddy said no so I'll ask mommy" situation, and this is certainly not a "I got muted so I'm going to bitch about it to the whole fucking world" situation.

Sory Underferrence....10 secs later, and UnnamedPlayer joins the server, calls a mute vote against me "saying something stupid" and leaves the 2nd that mute is given to, i stay muted the entire game, for bringing up "racial epithet" of a clan members friend CaD:Dracone whilst Celestial Rage watches and takes no notice..... I was going to post a link, but tbh, its the 1st time i figured out how to post screenshots like that, it won't happen again like that, just wanted to see what it look like, (yes i previewed it) but still :))...
My aim : To bring attention to how sloppy admins have become, favouring there own groups rather than individuals since this is a community server.....

The demo files are pretty small and every few days you can just delete them if nothing interesting has gone on. You only need to do the command once, and then you have all the demos you could ever ask for.

It makes it so every time you join a game, it starts recording a demo.

Most all of the abuse claims have been bullshit. The "abuse" in question has been grey area misuse, extremely minor, borderline abuse, and/or completely and totally confuzzled/fabricated. Abuse threads are now and have always been overly dramatic, full of bad information, and extremely poorly documented. They dwindle into personal attacks and pissing contests which, I guarantee you, will always be won by admins and senior forum members. Please refer to this (http://tremulous.net/forum/index.php?topic=15793.0) guide to know how to conduct yourself the next time you're "abused".
TL,DR; We'd see a lot less abuse threads if you kids weren't babies and stuck around to chat with your admins next game, or in the case of a ban or a kick, you sent them a message here. The admins don't cater to bitches. They cater to players who are civil with them and accept responsibility. inb4 "admins deny their crimes!"
And I'm just fucking shocked when I see a discussion thread about mutes. Again, minor minor minor. Doesn't need to be bitched about. Just suck it up.

Borderline abuse? I don't think so. "I wasn't muted for as long as the other guy", seriously? You got muted for a whole game. That's quite liable to happen when you do something to get yourself muted.

All these threads are just people whining over the most pointless shit and we need to set a higher standard for threads on this subforum because after over a year of its existence we have nothing but drama and/or trolling bullshit.
We're not going to attract long-staying players if they come over here and view this vitriol that just gets spewed back and forth on a weekly basis between admins doing their job and people thinking that they're taking down a totalitarian regime. For fucks sake, to all of you: grow up. Absolutely nothing has been accomplished after a never-ending river of abuse threads. There is no abuse. There are only hard-ass admins and quiet admins.
You have no idea how nice you people have it here, when back on 1.1, people would just kick you for joining their server because your name looked funny. What the fuck do you people want, complete anarchy? Admins are going to use commands on you whenever you break the rules. Stop breaking the rules and people will stop using admin commands on you. Stop making pointless abuse threads and people will take you seriously. Maybe one day you too can be respected enough and get promoted up the ranks.
I know how hard it must be for some of you to understand that there are other people on the internet, but there are. I'm a person. I'm not some machine that just hands out bans and mutes people when they spam or shout racist slurs. Don't view me as a wall of text and I won't view you as one either. We can all be friends here if you stop being Johnny Rebel. Grow some balls.
