Title: Trem hates my wi-fi sometimes

Sometimes while I'm in a game of tremulous on official servers I would loose connection ingame. That's not all.
Then I would exit trem thinking if I'd restart tremulous the problem will stop.  
But no…
I quit trem and my entire connection doesnt work anymore.  
Running on an old 2002 Dino laptop compaq windows xp
(yes I am a Mac person , and my Mac is broken and is being looked at)
Anyways

My entire wi-fi connection is just shut down. Making me have to restart the computer taking about 10 min. (did I mention Dino 2002'pc)
Any ideas on how to fix this.  
It's kinda making me mad that it completely shuts my wi fi off(only on this computer) making me restart everytime. Crazy huh?

why not just restart your wireless instead

The Internet is not the problem.  It's trem with my computer

If your wifi is being funky, restarting the entire computer probably won't do much. Make sure wireless radio is on, and try resetting your connection. You might also want to hook up to ethernet when the problem occurs to see if it is just a wireless problem.

Maybe, but when it happens, it effects only my pc. Everything else is connected to this wi fi connection- iPod, ps3, etc

did I tell you about my faulty onboard ethernet that gave me a hard lock on certain websites on rare occasions.
it took some time to locate and fix the problem(bought an ethernet card, disabled onboard one, and prayed)

I am not telling that you also have a hardware problem but it can be anything.
check the settings of your router
fix/reinstall relevant drivers
reinstall tremulous
reinstall OS
reinstall tremulous
try another wifi
