Well here is my first (released) map for tremulous. I know that i am not any great mapper but this has the element that makes game last longer. If you move your base in this map I am almost sure that your team will lose.
NOTE: This is still Alpha version so it IS realy cubed map. I tryed to find someone to decorate/give "the final touch" but still not found.
You may find some deadly things in map. Please give comment and host what ever.

Well, not really. Don't equate moving base => losing with a very strong original location.
Myself, I would be happy if the original human location is the best spot in the map but still rather weak. That game isn't fun when a team can build a very strong base.

It isn't fun when their starting base is strong either.
Now on the map. Bland indeed. This is what I would judge as a learning map and not something that should be refined to a real play map. You learned texturing, doors, platforms and structure allocation all fine and well but we really don't need another small symmetrical map. Especially not one with bases like this.
Try thinking of gameflow before you map a real level.

I know that it's not looking good but I realy want to play in map where tyrants or bs humans are not huge threat.

You mean you want to win with humans?
Just kidding, still keep in mind that a good map is a well balanced map. If one team has a great challenge to conquer the ennemy base, they will be reluctant to play your map.
Moreover not finalizing the architecture of the map does not permit to appreciate if gameplay is well balanced or not. Pipes and structures allow dretches to express themselves differently than in basic cube maps.

It would not be so much "the final touch" but most of the work, this is not a map you want to release, you may have learnt some stuff by making it, but it is not of a quality that is releaseable.

yea.. this map is fun to play as long as you arent looking for a very serious match. the reason being is that with 8 turrets evenly spaced and backed up around the lift in the human base, we were able to fend of advanced goons and tyrants because the tyrants died almost instantly and the goons couldnt get a clear shot. This map really is not very well balanced because we were able to win once we got s2 cause the aliens couldnt get back into their base :P
but like it said, its fun I think it would make an ok map if some changes were made. also, marco and I found a rather.. interesting bug while playing it. if you want the demo of it email me.. i cant seem to attach it T_T
but anyway, they are right. this isnt a very good map for official release as its got no balance at all.

Hello.
I tried your map alone (no opponent) as alien and as human.
It's clearely a map for minimum 4 player, because it's impossible to command lift if you're in down room.
Then, I thought it was unfair to install a trap if you do not advice it, but it'd be a good hide for aliens, at the end !
I hope I'll be able to play with more players.

1)sometimes it is impossible to reach bases
2)supports human camping
3)trap is useless
4)textures are not properly placed
5)reminds me of atcs with side path removed
6)anyways this is an alpha release after all .

2nd alpha is now released...
It should improve balance a bit.
I also added second way between the bases. I just hope that you can all see it :P (its pretty high in the base so might be out of your normal view)
Known bugs:
Elevator still goes wierdly down (if someone knows why then feel free to tell :wink: )

Hello.
The lifts are larger, so it will be less impossible to attack the base. :)
The texture of the door of the central room has gone. :(
The new corridor is probably unpraticable by drechs, but human can probably fly at S2. (I only try this map alone, without opponent).
The central herse is a good idea.

@vcxzet: Removing the traps would help?
@RedGuff: Wow! Sorry about the door texture... The "Corridor" was mostlikely made to give some bether position to jetpackers but also drop em to death if they are poisoned. :wink: But good thing in it is that aliens can attack from there with drech in s1. To be honest I were going to make few false platforms but decided to not anoy you guys too much with all my traps... (this is due one mIrc converstation)
I added poll about traps. Tell me your opininion and I can please tremulous players bit more. :wink:

Oh by the way... I gotto thank [T.T.O] clan for giving me great pleasure when I saw the map in your "vote map list". If server will be up tonight I pop by and vote ;) (my first time in multiplayer on that map)
