Title: Map votes 75% instead of majority.

Self explanatory. Can't count the amount of times people callvote a map like transit or methane when the server's empty and newbs just F1. Or US 1 has 20+ people and they callvote ATCS and it passes 9-8 or by some close margin. Basically ruining the game for 8 people just because 9 people don't know any better

Edit: 65% would suffice as well

If you want it to be more than 50%, consider this. ATCS passes by large margins when voted, more exotic maps like citadel usually do not pass by nearly as large of a margin. Increasing the percentage of people required to pass a map will result in more (although hopefully not only) common maps being played.

Orion usually passes, but it's becoming more common (same with Nano).

If you want it to be more than 50%, consider this. ATCS passes by large margins when voted, more exotic maps like citadel usually do not pass by nearly as large of a margin. Increasing the percentage of people required to pass a map will result in more (although hopefully not only) common maps being played.

There are only a handful of actually good "exotic" maps anyways (Citadel not being one) If +75% of the server wants the default maps to be played then the default maps should be played.

Another solution possibly could be not being able to callvote certain maps with only X amount of players in the server?

yeah add a min_players and max_players to every .arena file that way maps can only be played with a certain number of people.

For instance, you can't play atcs with less than 0 people, and not with more than 12 people.

I don't think there should be a max limit on maps, just a minimum limit (Mainly for large maps). I know you can get some very fun games on ATCS with 30 people.

This reminds me of a server in 2009 where it once had 92/96 players on the server, atcs. That was fkin buggy just moving around the alien base, soo many fkin rants and goons. Building was soo annoying simply because other aliens blocked you.

Also, when humans work in teams of 10, they generally win. You can't really get 10 tyrants, marauders and dragoons alltogether to rush a human base, thats what alien's have being doing in 1.1 constantly, which is why aliens win. If they never rushed, and just did what humans do, human's would win. Humans just need some sort of slow health regen so hit-and-run won't work terribly good. (I hope it doesn't appear like korx's, the normal tyrant from gpp heals slower than a human without a biokit in korx in terms of percent/second.)

Considering he mentioned there were only 0.958 players there, it hardly approaches the limit.

*You should add some of these for the fun of it. And some is every-day use.
