spur of the moment thing, 2 modes for tremulous
classic (normal tremulous)
humans vs humans (no aliens 2 teams of humans)
I don't know if this would take a lot of coding or not, I understand if no one likes this idea, i think it would be cool, to tell humans apart some could be in blue suites some could be an red ones,
This has already been implemented in several different mods.
oh i did not know that what mods are those

coding the basics (2 human teams) is relatively simple for an experienced Tremulous coder. calibrating the gameplay to steer away from simple deathmatches can take a long time, depending on what additional things you want to add besides the basics.

Or someone could just import instagib to 1.2/rehost drazi's hvh qvm.
Personally I think HVH sort of ruins the point of Trem. The aliens are what make the game unique... If everyone starts playing HVH that takes the players away from the normal servers, and there weren't enough in the first place. If there were 10 million players that would be different.

are you complaining that someone created a game that is more fun to play than stock Tremulous?

I think those messages in big red letters saying you just killed a teammate sort of ruin the fun of HvH with aliens present.

No, the red messages make it fun. The other death messages ruin it.
the problem with trem is that it's too hard for newbies to get any kills because it takes months or even years to master the game and that's what a lot of us love about trem.
In HVH ,or any other fps for that matter, it's much easier so it's no mystery why it appeals to people.

In third team mod (http://tremulous.net/forum/index.php?topic=16327.0) is no red messages.

If you try that mod, then you will see that getting kills in HvH (HvR) is harder than kill dretch :)

which is irrelevant, because there you are also harder to kill.

So Tremulous appeals to smart people and all other fps games to dumb people?
