Title: r_gamma doesn't effect anything
Post by: Zakoon on December 07, 2011, 02:40:50 pm
Hi,

if I adjust r_gamma, nothing changes. At http://tremulous.net/wiki/R_gamma it is said, that it can depend on the graphics-card. Is there any other way to get tremulous brighter?

Please help, Thanks.

P.S.: I'm running Ubuntu 11.10 with "Gallium 0.4 on ATI RV350" Graphics-Driver.

try the following cvars: r_overbrightbits and r_mapoverbrightbits.
also, don't forget to do a vid_restart.

there's also the xgamma (system) command:
Code: [Select]
xgamma -gamma 3.0

Also, try changing the value of r_ignorehwgamma before changing r_gamma. Might need a vid_restart somewhere in between.
