Ive decided to post some random movies i just recorded
Here are some movies of lucyspam up close (first movie has spectator information, second and third not):
http://rapidshare.de/files/29403696/lucyspam.dm_69.html
http://rapidshare.de/files/29404023/lucyspam2.dm_69.html
http://rapidshare.de/files/29404244/lucyspam3.dm_69.html
(The second and third movie of the lucyspam are not in order, the third movie is recorded as second, and the second movie was recorded as third.)
These are just some random movies, enjoy
PS: to view the movies, go to your tremulous root folder and put the file into your tremulous/base/demos folder :) .

These are random movies, not meant to mean much, the players in the movie just seemed to wanting them posted.

Create a new folder in your Tremulous base folder called "demos" (without the "")
-
ive done that
but wmp says the file extension is unrecognised
and that the codec is unsupported
im such a computer noob :(
-
Just type in the tremulous console: /demo <name of the recording you want to play> :) .
-
Yeah, .dm_69 is the Quake 3 engine demo format it basically contains what the server would tell your client about the game (AFAIK). It's not a multimedia codec, although I would have assumed from the title that they would be movies.
You need to put it in the right place, open trem, press ~ (or `) to bring up the console and type '/demo lucyspam.dm_69' or whichever demo file you want to view.
It will then load the map and play the demo, I'm not sure what actually happens after this, I've never tried it myself. ;)

Ooh a random movies thread. does that mean they don't have to have anything to do with trem? :P
P.S. I STILL want to find out how to create a .avi or other standalone file vid from trem! :(
