I'm not sure if people know, but the Tremulous source code was moved to GIT (https://github.com/darklegion/tremulous) a while ago, and Timbo has merged the latest ioq3 into it(including SmileTheory's new opengl2 renderer code). It seems to build and work fine, even with the new renderer(which is much faster in situations where the original used to lag). I urge everyone to try these builds.
Note: It is incompatible with 1.1 and GPP servers, as it uses an updated network protocol, but should feel like GPP. If someone would like to set up a server, that would be appreciated.
Also, hi.

so we can all play together. but sounds are problematic ... I dont want to release anything that contains media from questionable sources (probably even illegal)

No one told us!
Edit: I tried it, the loading process never got past the window opening. I used the same assets for my normal trem just by shoving the exec into /programfiles/trem (of course, renaming so I don't replace) and created a pk3 for the new qvms but it just crashed, then a dialogue came up asking to use "safe" mode and crashed again, dumping an empty stdout.txt file.
Never said anything about missing assets.
That was one long sentence there.

The GIT repo hasn't been updated in a while... is this dead too?
