Hi, I installed the version of Tremulous available in the repository for Ubuntu 12.04, but every time I play I get this big red warning that I'm running an outdated version of Tremulous and need to update in order to do certain things. So, I downloaded version 1.1.0 for Linux from the Files page and used the terminal to cd over to the directory I downloaded it to and typed
sudo sh ./tremulous-1.1.0.x86.run
typed in my password
and got the error message
sh: 0: Can't open ./tremulous-1.1.0.x86.run
As I said, I'm using 12.04 of Ubuntu Desktop. I'm running it on an old Dell Inspiron 600m laptop computer. Has anyone had an issue like this before, and if so, is there a fix?
Thank you for your responses.

Some 1.1 servers complain when you connect with the official 1.1 client. They want you to use a client that sends a GUID. (Maybe try this (http://mirror.kdude63.com/mercenaries_guild/releases/client/linux_x86/)?)
sudo sh ./tremulous-1.1.0.x86.run
[snip]
sh: 0: Can't open ./tremulous-1.1.0.x86.run
chmod +x tremulous-1.1.0.x86.run
./tremulous-1.1.0.x86.run

I'm afraid it still isn't working. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong?

Ubuntu is crappy (http://mavroudisv.eu/blog/2013/04/17/sh-bash-dash-and-ubuntu/).

you may ignore the warning for a bit. btw, 1.1.0 is actually the "outdated" version.
