Title: Mapping Software for Mac
Post by: Durandal 1.0 on August 21, 2006, 12:50:37 am: Is there any software to make Trem maps for the Mac? I would like to try out making maps, and with a Mac I don't know what software, if any, to use. If anybody sees tjw sometime soon ask him to port a mapping system for the Macintosh. Thanks!

gtkradiant (the software everyone else uses) is supposed to be available for macs (with a rather ugly installation process), but it looks like id's website is missing one of the files because their host didn't do backups.

Which is very disconcerting to be sure. Does anyone know the proper way to set up the MAC version for Tremulous, as I can't seem to do it correctly.

(on a mac)

been mapping for a while now, working on a map i call "exposure"

anyway, how i did it:

created a new user account "mapping"
downloaded a fresh version of trem and gtkrad 1.5

folowed the instrutions on the tremmaping wiki--for windows.

Anyway, follow the instructions in http://www.tremulous.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2179&highlight=mac and you should do okay.

i looked on apple, and didn't see anything, so found a copy called macradiant from google, but it doesnt work for trem............................help?
