Title: Need help installing TJW

How do U install it?

Ok forget it, im not installing this shit. ZEL said I should get it, but I got no clue, becuz there are like 6 files, god knows wtf im trying to do :\

Edit - can u just tell me which files I get? And where to put them? Cuz the readme speaks geek, i cant speak geek, or understand it :(

Edit 2 - ZEL said its so you can get basic commands for being a server regular... w/e that means

Wow you give up very easy.
You need to take your time with things a bit more. I'm sure if you know what your trying to do the answer is there for you. You just have to be patient enough to find it.

No no, u dont get it. Im confused about this cuz, im not running a server, and this looks like its for a server... so NVM... cuz I cant run server until I get new comp :\

Ok how do I back up my binaries? I think this is it http://trem.tjw.org/backport/

But I dunno where what goes, because it does not specify the folders... So thats all I need to know. Is this for the client for the basic commands if im a serv regular? Just wana know which i need, and where they go. And how to back up binary files. Cuz i dunno which they are.

The backport basically has some fixes in it.
Rename your tremulous.exe to tremulous-bak.exe or something.
(.exe = binary. By renaming it you are sort of backing it up. If you run into trouble you can delete the backport tremulous.exe and then rename tremulous-bak.exe to tremulous.exe and it will be back the way it was before you did anything.)
Download tremulous.exe from the backport folder and put it in your tremulous folder and run it..
It has various fixes (follow the links for details), and will let you alt-tab out.

Just seems like you start a lot of stuff and give up on it pretty quick is all.

Err I get this error crap, every time... Even tho I restarted atleast 15 times even my computer i restart... still no luck
I did all i was told, and it gave me this BS

Error messages in console are red with, maybe, some yellow.
What you are showing are just system messages... are you getting any negative effects or real errors in the game?
If it is just console messages you do not understand you just should leave the console closed to not get worried further... ;)

Except that it pops up like a message, instead of staying in the console... it pops up as if someone entered a game, and connected or w/e and I cant ignore it, so I see a bunch of white letters, so I decide to open up...

Wouldn't it immediately be pushed out of the way by the "UnnamedPlayer connected" and "UnnamedPlayer enters the game" messages?

Or does it actually open a miniwindow popup?

My version of tremulous.exe from TJW's site is from July 27th, however, there is no file with that date now, there aren't any newer (except Tremded.exe) either, wierd.

Edit: I  found http://tremulous.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1799 which explains the problem.
