Title: Can't edit soon after posting.
Post by: Vector_Matt on August 31, 2006, 03:56:53 pm
I encountered a bug in this forum. I posted a message, then switched tabs (Firefox) and edited a different message for spelling. When I hit "Submit" on the edited post, it said I must wait before posting (Since I had posted somewhere a few moments ago). It seems to me that there should be no restriction on when you can edit a post. I can understand not making lots of posts in a short while, but how recently you posted should have no effect on if you can edit something. This bug is not very pressing, but when the web developer has time I would like this bug removed.

EDIT: I suspect (I have not tested it yet though) that you can't sumbit a vote soon after posting also.

This is not a bug or an error. It's a admin (or possibly moderator?) setable feature.

And I noticed it last week or possibly a bit more recent than then. Why has it been changed? I'm pretty sure it never used to do it. While it doesnt make any difference to me waiting to edit a mistake, it does get a bit annoying.

and this time limit lasts like 3 seconds.. its hardly worth complaining about.. I suspect it just keeps spambots from shooting out post after post.
