Has anyone else seen this guy, he manages to kill in one hit with a dretch... And i do not mean headbite he runs into your feet heavy armor or not, and you die, I've also seen him do it in multiple server, so i know its not because he's admin.

Anybody can use clan tags.
The only time I've seen that, I believe it was a SATGNU admin playing a godlike instakill flying dretch ( on SATGNU ).

you can headshot from the ground very easily, especially on low ping servers, where you will always bite as soon as you get in range.

Did you have a helmet, dretches can still insta-kill even if you are wearing light armour. (Which is why I never buy it at s1, unless I'm really loaded)

hehheh, Aimbot is over used, and to many people get accused of it. Honesty either you are 100% sure their autoaiming or their not. (sorry but i say autoaim not aim bot[same difference{;p}])
Anyways I guess its much funner to run around and kill people in 1 hit than autoaim.
ps, He said the dmg can be set higher to even take out battlesuits.

there are several options: bite him again anywhere, get poison (which conveniently does 4 damage less than a second after the bite), get another dretch to bite him at the same moment, and my personal favorite, get his teammate to shoot him in the back for the last 4 points.

I tried to get my 8 year old little brother to do it(big mistake), but he obveously doesn't have the mental capacity to under stand that it isn't a real fight.

A dretch headbite (with no helmet or bs) does 96 damage. So unless you have 97 health or above a dretch can easily kill you in one bite.

straight away after one hit im down to 4hp, and he was movinf ridiuclously fast
a few other people said somthing to
guess ill stay clear of crappy servers

I saw him today on "fun house" too - since I had similar killcount as he, he asked me whetehr I used the same as he did.
Later I saw him taking out turrets with one hit...
definatly intresting if that can be fixed by a server setting or if this is some unknown exploit...

What do you mean? He'll probly just tell you how they work, but not word-for-word how to make them.

KK, but before i post these demo's. I want you guys to know that this is a really cool guy. And honesty if you DONOT want him to hack in your server simply ask him and he will turn it off. He doesnt not mean any of you disrespect by hacking in your server. He simply loves exploring computers, and finding exploits/fixing them. So before you take the step to ban him please consider what you said, if anything he could find a way to make your servers safe so that noone else can use this hack there. Which in my opinion is alot better then banning him.

i've played against plenty godz members and they are all spammers!!! On one game a guy called "godz slicer" was spamming out of control and getting impossible kills so i tried to kick him and then next thing u know i get inundated with spam saying "you can't kick me how dare u $%# you!!"
so my question is..
how can we get rid of these idiots?!? or maybe they could implement an anti-spam system like that of battlefield 2?

Perfect reason not to play on the server those "idiots" own. Owning a server means they can do what ever they want. If you don't like it there go somewhere else.

just cause they kicked ur ass....i was there.....but he did overdo it..lol...but still...we warned people on the server about complaining but you kept complaining....so...dont blame them for what they did...its really you fault...and PS....the godz are not idiots... and if you dont want to see the spam..its called !mute

BTW you are using a fixed exploit which will only work on unfixed/crappy servers. It is not really hard I does not require any skill. Come back when you find something new that works on servers using latest binaries. :wink:

Do this on SST, SATGNU or AKKA and post a demo then.. seriously.. you don't have to own the server if its a shitty server, which I don't doubt is the case. It can be a fixed bug, but if the server is running old code then its not fixed for them.
You just said you kicked a guy off of the server running one of these things.. which means you must have some admin power/ownership.
Also please post all of your lamo servers this works on so we can avoid them. I'd rather save my time and not get kicked by a no-skill cheater/spammer.

was just playing with slicer a minute ago and he stay as dretch all game. i decided to give him the benifit of doubt and then spectated him for a while
walks into humans ankles and they die straight away. same with bsuits
fair enough you want to muck about etc, but you ruin the game for everyone else. there were 24 players before, and the humans got fed up and all left in the next game except 3 noobs

I was on a server yesterday and a user named DM was using an aimbot on the human side.... I've played enough FPS games with the quake3 engine to know it when I see it. I would not even be in his sight (s1 both sides) and coming up a ramp, he would spin around and kill me as dretch with one shot, instantly. Now I can say it could be skills instead, but when he does this 4 times in a row to 4 dretches in 5 seconds, you know something is up. Then somebody called him on his aimbot, and he started laughing about it and admitting it. ADMITTING IT. So, now it looks like I can't trust good players in trem anymore, now the hacks are out. I wonder how long until it becomes as bad as CS and I have to find another game to play.
Do you teenagers get off on cheating or something ? Can you honestly say its fun just killing people with a hack ? Seriously.

Its like smoking.. they think it makes them look cool but really its just doing harm. Pointless.
There needs to be a more clear indicator if a server isn't running pure, is running old code, or is running TJW... The thing that pisses me off the most is that people are going to end up in one of these crappy servers and think all of trem is like that..

Hacking a server WITHOUT asking FIRST is disrespectful and may be unlawful depending on the method used. Expecting every server to ask you not to hack them is the pinnacle of arrogance.
So before you take the step to ban him please consider what you said, if anything he could find a way to make your servers safe so that noone else can use this hack there. Which in my opinion is alot better then banning him.
Is this information being submitted to timbo? As a bug report? Is it being publicly released so admins can take steps to defend against this supposed hack? Are other members of your clan witnessed taking advantage of this?
As far as I can see, no steps are being taken to "make servers safe" so I'd ban on sight.

How does cheating do harm? Physical harm. I personally hate cheaters, i do however look up to people that find bugs submit it to someone and have it fixxed.
I have seen noone that i can talk to about this to get a patch for the 'crappy' server so i figured posting on the forums would be the best way.
ps, Alot of people dont have autoaim, but do however like to gloat about their skill, claiming cheats.

Physical harm?.. It could I guess in some round about way.. but by focusing on that as literal instead of a metaphore you might be missing the point. Cheaters are like a cancer.

Also submit it to the tremulous bugzilla... you say you hate cheaters, but there you are cheating in the demo..
As I said.. this is probably a patched problem anyway.. I haven't seen you demo it on any of the more updated servers running the latest TJW... so I'm not going to worry about it much. I really do not like the fact that people can run cracked binaries like this and lure unsuspecting people in and then make those people think this applies to every server when its a limited incident. By telling people this you hurt tremulous by giving them the wrong idea about the security in the game.

Cheater is not the proper term for me, and i havn't tested it out on a 'patched' server because i have no idea what's patched and what isnt.

Get your story straight before posting please. You hate cheaters, but here you admit to exploiting servers, and in effect, cheating. If you want to come clean, cool. If you want to try to worm out of it, you have failed.

As I said before, please try this out on SST|Tremulous, [AKKA], or SATGNU and let us know if it works.. please include a demo.
If it doesn't work on those servers then you are only able to do it on unpacked/non TJW servers... which means this problem has been solved and will not work in the next version of tremulous anyway. If you can get it to work on any of those servers (try all 3 please) then you get credit for finding a new bug and I'm sure the devs would be very interested.

all i gotta say is if anyone bots, they suck shit. if someone needs a bot to play and own people, they are fucking pathetic and suck ass, and need to gtfo.
if someone just uses bots to mess with people and fuck around, but admittedly can play well enough without them, that makes them even more fucking pathetic, and should have their scrotum scraped across a cheese grater coated with lemon juice.

I have nothing against cheaters if they admit their cheating, and are willing to turn it off for a fun fair game, if they dont, no problem, what i hate are the people that cheat, and its o so abvious that their cheating, but they deny it, thats what really push's my buttons.

Ask a server admin if you can test, we can be incredibly helpful if you are doing legitimate research. You won't always get a yes as there may be a good game going on, but not always.
If you are found to be testing and you have not informed any admins, you cannot blame them for taking action, up to and including an instant permaban. If you are known to cheat, do not be surprised if action is taken even though you may not have done anything at that moment, up to and including a permaban.
That you would join a game and not cheat is expected. Requiring servers to ask you not to cheat is counter-intuitive and I'm not sure why you would expect it to work that way.

Yes, that server does suck donkey balls. Might have to do with how some dork set the server up. It seems that when a lot of people are logged on to the aliens ate my brain server the server goes crazy and the server can't handle movement or damage for it's own good. It's kind of like how a adv mara can do 100 damage with one zap instead of 80 to a human during a time of heavy server traffic only much worse.
