Hello everyone, I'm a short term player first time poster for Tremulous. Short term as in played it every second I have spare for the past 5 weeks.
As I was sitting here reading the forums, and playing the game, I thought to myself- Do we need some more modes then deathmatch? How could these modes be implemented effectively and I thought Of Course! End game objectives!
How many of you have been annoyed by finding that last annoying dretch? That little hidden egg? That bloomin' ninja Granger?
I thought, why not have an "Arena" mode. At the end of a game, say the 55 minutes, when everyone is fed up with waiting for the match to end, or even before that (depending on the server) All players could be inserted into a small round room, humans having just a rifle and the aliens just Dretches. This would be for end game. Also as an after-thought to this suggestion, spectating needs to be revamped so people dont have to leave their teams. I was thinking that Aliens/ Humans could Spectate from 1st person only, of the people on their team (horrible wording) and teamspeak would be disabled so as to prevent ""cheating"".
One final idea- Capture the flag? I'll leave it up to you.
Of course these mini game ideas could all be done up, and more could be thought up- How about a gauntlet mode? Humans having to run down a corridor and get to the end, or the Aliens having to run? Or a base building contest- The human team have 3 minutes to build a base that has to survive a full tyrant rush for 5 minutes, unlimited Bp but no Human players.
Just a suggestion to chuck out there, probably not wise for my first post, but Meh.
