Title: Whoops, can I have my name back...
Post by: Aninhumer on September 13, 2006, 03:54:43 pm
I was interested in the game Savage that was posted on the main page, and after a little problem trying to get it to work...
...I screwed my computer
(entirely my fault, "sudo" makes it so easy...)

So the first thing I installed when I got my computer fixed, was Tremulous (even before Automatix, and ndiswrapper).
I went on one of my favourite servers "Alien's Wrath", and I can't change my name to AnInhumer because it's already been registered to my old TJW client.

Could Napkin remove me from the "Known players" list, so that I can re-register my name?

this is a bit too late to help you, but whenever you reinstall trem (for whatever reason) you should make a copy of your config (the entire ~/.tremulous/ folder, maybe without the map pk3's) so you don't have to redo the whole thing, or at the very least ~/.tremulous/base/qkey, which contains your guid. also: ewwwwwww ndiswrapper
