Title: Water, not only in pulse, in karith too!!

The other day on sst, we had a cheat game (we do that every now and then for fun) on karith. I was nocliping around as a dretch, running through the heads of fresh spawned humans (tee hee!). I went outside the alien base, along the catwalk to the dark stairs, and went outside the catwalk. When i reached the ground, i disabled noclip, and started exploring. I saw an area of dark stuff, and walked over into it. Surprise! It was water, same as in Pulse, but in Karith.

If there is any way to access this through a normal game, please tell me.

Just thought i would share that.

Next cheat game we have, ill snap some screenies.

wow...  Its good to know that some of the other levels have water, even though you probably can't access it.  Have you tried this in any other levels?

This means we've found water on Karith.. and where there is water.. there is the possibility for LIFE!!
It might be interesting if the author of the map had planned to include water on karith but then scrapped that idea..

Well, a better explanation for the presence of water on Karith is that the Quake 3 engine often considers the spectators outside of the world as beeing inside a water zone. Even when there is no water on the map :)

Or maybe the bottom part of the skybox is a water-ish shader...

It's just a pond, part of the senery, like the hills and snow. :P
This is why if you turn around while in the water, you look straight onto a caulk surface.
