Title: Colours on teh Lagometer!
Post by: Juno on October 15, 2006, 12:31:22 pm
what do they all mean????

i keep getting yellow blocks with "999" which i presume is lag spikes?

i also have green bars and red bars/lines all the time

i have a 48 ping and dont "lag", but i constantly get stuck in walls and yesterday i got stuck underneath the floor for 5 seconds while i was being shot above ground and couldnt move

its damn frustrating being killed every 5 seconds because my view
" freezes", but everyone else just seems me moving around normally as i frantically bash space/pounce to try and get away

but any way, what do the colours mean?

I don't know. I use the lagometer, and asked what it all meant but never got a straight awnser.

This is what i eventually learnt:
-number is the ping. (Incase you didn't notice)
-thin lines are good.
-bottom line = green is good.
-top line = blue is good.
-lines can go yellow. dunno what it is.
-bottom line gets huge & thick. bad.
-bottom line goes yellow or red. bad.

Don't really know what it all actually responds to or how it works...

I'd like to see what gets posted here....

Red lines is packet loss. Bottom is green when small and gets yellow when bigger. In all cases, small is better. Also, the ping is closer to the one shown on the server browser than the one shown on the score board.

which gives you this pages:

Hoping, the links are helpful  :)

Not really, I don't go to offtopic anymore since I've never seen something halfway interesting posted there ...

This should be added to the FAQ, because there have been about 5 posts already asking this.
