We all like them. They prevent things from happening like:
Human A: Decon the overmind!
Noob Alien A: Ok (decons)
Humans win.
They are also part of TJW's g_admin, just disabled by default. I discovered this yesterday on sst, and it seems foolproof. Just set the cvar g_chatTeamPrefix to 1, and bam! R1Admin style team tags on global chat. The upper conversation would look like this now:
[H]Human A: Decon the overmind!
[A]Noob Alien A: No, your human.
Gameplay continues
There are a few other cvars i have emailed tjw about, i am pending their response, including one that looks like it could lock out equipment. Tyrant and Luciless game? Perhaps.

Without luci, tremulous isn't worth it:evil:
Team tag isn't bad, but even with that, you often get caught of guard against cyan colored chat messages.
I think we should disable all colors in the chat messages ( and black in names )
Or at least make the teamchat color be impossible to select.
-
or simply disable cyan in chat.. much better, methinks.

Nononono!
Keep all the colours! PLZ!
If someone is noob enough to listen to the enemy, let them be so.
Just give him a good yelling at so he learns his lesson. If he does it again, kick, or ban, he's proven himself a deconner.
Simple, no? :)

Actually, I think it might be enough to color the team tags:
[A]GNT|Cephas:Decon the reactor
[H]GNT|Cephas:I'm not falling for that

What about newbs who don't know about the [A] & [H] flags.
No cyan text in global chat, and only cyan text in team chat FTW.
In 1.2, I would also like to see a more complete manual, one that includes how to repair for example (I hated it when I was asking and the players how to repair and they, not all of whom where on the other team. kept saying repair was alt +F4, e, etc..., I'm not dumb, just uninformed, geez).

There is an interactive supermanual. Just enable tutorial mode.

Of course, i guess it would be easier when you're talking to yourself :P
