Hi, i am working for my trem map (my first map for trem).
I will finish the map in 2 day for a gameplaytest but i need a couple of good players and a server who can host my map ? So i can improve the gameplay faster before i tex. the walls and adding details.

Looks interesting. I'd be willing to join in the gameplay test.
Also, since you don't need a full fledged game going for a playtest you could host it yourself, 6 to 8 player max is ideal and attainable on most home connections nowadays. If not, I'd be willing to host it from home.

Actually, I sort of like that no texture/plain texture look. Some maps are too busy. But don't over-do it either.

If the map is in a usable state (looks okay, performance okay, layout okay) it will be added to the cycle on "tremulous.info Derelict". That's our server just for gameplay-testing new maps.... ;)

because the map has 3 textures in the hole map and the light is terribly.

I suggest you release the map as beta at least. Many of us server operators put beta maps on our servers though they may not be in "live" rotation. I'd be happy to put it on the MG Central server, though I'm not sure when I could play.
The MG Central server has been very empty lately, so it wouldn't be difficult for you to go to the server and vote the map in. Also, I'm using TJW's statistics here (http://www.nelson-techonline.com) so you could track wins/losses per map, even if you are not playing.
I can usually be found in irc at #mercenariesguild at quakenet.
Asking at #tremulous irc channel on quakenet will get you help too, I imagine. People there are generally very helpful and friendly, or at least not cruel ;)

He is doing the right thing, alphas are for gameplay tests. Not betas, they are practically finished maps which are looking for bugs, not ideas.

Short tips
Make them connect on a 45 degree angle, looks nicer.

The left side here seems a bit bare, Maybe have a walkway turn an open corner there, not connected to the other floors in the room by stairs.

Remove the hole. It has no real use and would annoy the humans falling through it in battle.

The large outdoor area has too few exits/entrances for its size
Maybe have the lower area in the corner there have access to 1 or 2 corridors.

Or a corridor exiting in the corner there.

This is all to make it a more central point of the map.

As you can see the map is pretty straightforward and circular. Try to weave more so you have a lot of paths and turns you can choose from. This makes it more suitable for 'real games'. With real games i mean where base moves are encouraged. You can actually hide eggs. And escapes aren't necessarily back to base.
Another point is the fact that the map doesn't have many base suited locations. I think it's sad since a map like this has excellent potential for it.
Also remember to have a couple of somewhat more cramped rooms connected for alien bases. Most rooms now are too big and don't have the right angles for a good alien base.

Yes i will improve that also i will add
a terrain outside and build a base opposite the bridge.
So i can add there more base places.

Looks good. I really like the low number of textures, it gives it a nice other-worldly feel.
EDIT: I found something that ?needs? fixing.

Another solution, If it's your server, use g_gravity to lower the gravity and just jump up. Then fix the gravity.
But, I like the arrow more.

I have added a bridge above the humanbase, so the new map
will have more floors.
Edit: ingame the humanbase looks fantastic but on the screens it looks a little bit boring

Needs some new textures, and personally I think it needs some wall details( Such as railings, frames, etc. Use brushes instead of textures, because brushes appear to be your strong point, but be warry of FPS

If you had read the topic ; ) u will know that this version is a alpha only
so i build no great walldetails, because i can improve the map easily when the layout doesnt fit.

Thanks for this new hopefull map !
* First, the size of the file :
When we download a map with FTP or HTML, we can tolerate big files, but in the game, the bandwith is only 3 kB/s :
** Please, do not include temp files like "Thumbs.db"
** The screenshot with the map is a good idea, but I'm sure that 512 * 284 could be big enough.
** 1452 ko => 1182 ko : 1 min and 30 s less.
* Then the sky : Terragen is very good, but I suggest a large cloud just above the camera : you'll avoid blue circles when compressing in JPG.
* Finally, I suggest you to improve the ability to hide Aliens : some corridors are long, and dangerous for Aliens.
* The map is listed and the screenshot is shown when we want to start it with the interface of the game. We can start it with this interface : it's good and lots of maps do not do it.
* Textures and shapes of bridges are good : its a pleasure to play new maps like this ! Thanks !

I would try to make the testing, but it seems like you have a ton of people waiting in line for it already. It looks quite promising for just an alpha.

nice map though
needs railings near stairs high places
since it is too big you may want to add marking objects/textures
to make it easier to find opponent base
plus location markers as in meep
not sure but may need some teleporters since walking takes too long
you need a way to avoid jettards some places are to high

i will add a some pipes at the human base (above)
i hope this will balance it for the aliens
if the server is ready i can show you the best way to the alien base

looks like a nice map overall, it has some nice architecture. The room with only a vent entrance has to go though - uber campsite. imo not too big for say 20 players.

It's become human camper heaven. There are several locations so biased towards human defense even campers would call it camping. In contrast to good alien bases which seem non-existant.
Also the fact that when an alien falls it has to spend a minute getting to where it was against when a human falls and can be considered dead in certain areas is a bit too much.

I dont know what looks better and energyfield (without hurt if you touch it)
or a pipework (with holes so dretches can move through)?
Then i will add some pipes above the human base so goons can reach players with jetpacks .

3. well it looks like you would be able to goon pounce up on top the glass part...then you just need a tiny ledge in the wall to goon pounce up to about level with that balcony...i think i can kindof see a ledge there already on the left...and then once they get there they should be able to get all jettards with a bit of effort

Always try to make things descrete if possible, I like trying to find little things like ledges and stuff to help myself out, but a hugeass pipe system is pretty obvious.

If you think this map is too big, then you probably don't like Karith Station either.
