Title: Anti-Aliasing
Post by: Odin on October 30, 2006, 03:25:51 pm
Assuming you have the capability to do all anti-aliasing modes, what's the best looking mode that has the most performance(like, best bang for your buck)? I currently use 2xQuincunx, and it looks like 4x but has the same performance hits of 2x.

Yeah, its just a different form of 2x anti-aliasing. Gives 4x looking quality with the 2x hit, but tends to blur the image.

Its nothing like that.. its a technical term for generally smoothing out corners or polygonal "jags"(aliasing)... it makes things look smoother.. it has to do with graphics.

You shouldn't answer such questions. He was either sarcastic or trolling. Or maybe he was really clueless but then again, it was NOTHING that google or wikipedia couldn't answer.

Then again, seeing about the reasons behind a few posts by him combined with that popcorn story makes me rather certain it's a trolling attempt.

Yeah.. but.. for the next guy who doesn't know..... I'll just go and delete all of his posts ever now and mail them to his mom so she can beat the answers into him with a broomstick. :p

Usually if it isn't in game, its through your graphics card's control panel.

Google to the rescue if you want an actual guide:
