TremRadio. We will bring you current news, nice interviews and asskicking music in irregular intervals. As I have never done any moderation, the first show(s) can apear a bit unprofessionel. But that's at every beginning I think :).

The first show is planned for this saturday. It will start at 21 UTC, and will run for 30 up to 60 minutes. What stuff you'll get at the show... Well it's a suprise, just wait for it. While the show you are allowed to ask any questions about my current and future projects (listed on http://dev.dasprids.de), and I will answer them as good as I can.

At this point, thanks to myself for hosting the shoutcast server ;).

Ah right; please don't expect the perfectest english of me. As the guys from the testshow told me, everything is understandable, and that what's important.

Radio-Address and IRC-Channel will be posted later.

Well I would, but the shoutcaster server is of Nullsoft,, so it only does mp3 streaming.Tried to setup icecast, but had some problems with it. Maybe later. (But an ogg version can be downloaded later as captured show).

I wouldn't think there would be that much difference between having your files as a MP3 or OGG file: they'd probably both work just as well, and the former format might be used by a few people on their MP3 players and/or iPods. Might.

And now some addition: The entire stream will be recorded and can be downloaded later.

You may join #tremradio on Quakenet to ask me questions while the show is running.

Streamstart is 20 UTC, so you can fix probs with the ogg stream, if you never used ogg before. Then show itself will start at 21 UTC then and run for aprox 1 hour.

This varies on your player, normaly the following is enough:

http://dasprids.de:8000/tremradio.ogg.m3u

If you still know ogg streams, this URL is also interesting for you:

http://dasprids.de:8000/tremradio.ogg

So, see you in 9:30 hours.

One piece of constructive criticism: you might want to put one song in the beginning of the broadcast only, then give a short intro. Even if it was just something like "Welcome to TremRadio. We're going to have an hour of music first blah blah".

Post by: Seafoideach on November 20, 2006, 12:08:44 pm: I'm about 18 minutes into listening to it with MPlayer, which is getting it strait from the 'net. So far the music's been okay. Up to what I'm guessing is Warriors of the World by Manowar (I don't know though, haven't actually heard it).

I don't know what bitrate it is a, could you tell me? And would it be possible to decrease it a bit without making things unlistenable? If so, you might be able to provide to downloadable versions; one at the current quality and another lower quality (thus smaller) one.

By the way, my server center is down at the moment. Will be up in some hours again I hope. 40 minutes later, the record of Saturday the 25th will follow.
