Title: Misteak when setting up a board system for a site
Post by: Paradox on November 19, 2006, 09:35:26 pm
I was setting up a BB system for a client's site, and the client wanted to make it so a user had to have been on for at least a month before they could post. I misunderstood him, and set the system up so users with less than 30 posts could not post! Lol. So we had users that couldnt post to get more than 30 posts to get posting permission!

What does a misteak taste like? Pork? Beef? Chicken?

Dont get the idea that clients actually know what they ask for.
(remember that agp-card that the client worked over with a saw so that it would fit into a pci-slot?)

...this isn't a case of the client not knowing what they want.. i've been on a lot of projects where the client wouldn't tell you anything, then they'd constantly make you go back and revise things after the point where revision is reasonable and not as complex, to the point where a lot of them got stalled or didn't get done..

No.. this is paradox not thinking about what he was doing..
