I don't care for your motivation, nor 3rd party maps.

BlahBlahBlahIUseAlienCrosshairsBlahBlahBlah.

Trying to order folks around on the internet is like trying to ship termites in a wooden box.

BTW, Uncreation for the silly answer since it's the one map I never see any disagreement about callvotes on and the only map I constantly see zero-no-vote results on.

Admitedly, all to nextmap or 'map atcs' but still. It's my favorite because it's predictable at least. :-)

I would thank WolfWings once again for showing how thick of a retarded bastard he actually is.

Since this already has gone awry, why not help out with littering the thread.

It was a hard choice between Niveus and Uncreation, but the most enjoyable games I've played were on Niveus.

I'd vote, the only problem is that the maps whose names I can remember I'm bored of. The other ones won't associate with their names in my head.

ATCS as both human and alien. Symmetrical map, balanced even fair game

I cant believe ATCS is the favorite map of so many players O_o

ATCS has always the same gameplay ( keep default bases, central zone has always players waiting for you, if you re aiming for the base use the side corridors), the textures are dull...

Do Trem players prefer playing the same game over and over ?

As for me, after a long hesitation between Nexus, Niveus and Transit, i voted Transit, the open space gives you more possibilities regarding base location, attack strategy, etc...

I kinda like Transit, but the map is too unbalanced. If alien team is half clever humans only have the chance of a tie when doing their best.
I prety much like Karith, Nexus6, Arachnid2 and Niveus to the same extent. Voted Nexus6, but if I had seen Karith had so few votes I would have voted it  :P About ATCS... it's ok, but pretty plain map. Uncreation is just bad. Good looks, but boring, unbalanced, and amazingly bad vis (FPS), which isn't understandable cause the architecture blocks view just fine.

It's like Dust on CS, or the "standard" rotation for UrbanTerror CAD (Casa / Abbey / Docks), it's simply mainstream.

But according to the stats, Uncreation is the most balanced map of all, scoring a nearly perfect 50-50 alien-human wins ;) Why do you say it is unbalanced then? Is that because aliens have to win 70% of the time for a map to be balanced?

If aliens don't prepare, one jetpack guy can kill Overmind = nearly win.

Ugh, dunno about those stats. My personal experience (I play human) is that my team always win easy at uncreation. Just wait for flamethrower and destroy them. I may be wrong about that point, anyway, but not about the others :P

EDIT: Actually, maybe the stats must show a 70% alien wins for a balanced map, given that SD favours aliens so much

With 2 teams of non campers who are competent, ATCS can be very fast and fun, and tactics can make a big difference.

Obviously, with noobs its sucks, but don't blame the map for that.

ATCS is a piece of shit map, it only shows what lack of vision most Tremulous players have, and more importantly, what lack of knowledge about what makes a good Tremulous map. Bleh.

(Sorry jex, but you can do way better than ATCS, we all know that)

In 30% of all games, humans are complete idiots, they camp in their base until a tie or a loss.
This tactic results in a loss two-thirds of the time.
Now, take that 50% Alien, 30% Human, 20% tie game statistic and ignore camp ground games.
You get 30% Alien, 30% Human, 10% tie, with 30% Discarded.
Uncreation, you start with 40% Alien, 40% Human, 20% tie game and you end up with 20% Alien, 40% Human, 10% tie, 30% Discarded

Yes, Uncreation is balanced if the teams are comprised of average demographics.
However, if both teams know what they are doing, then the Aliens know that they are screwed.

At Uncreation, if the humans don't have their heads up their asses, they should be able to lockdown the chokepoint hall and camp until S2 or S3, at which point they can storm the bug base, which is totally and completely exposed from the air.

As for ATCS, I'm undecided.

It's fun sometimes, but it's waaaay too damn small, there's not much flexability in base design, and having all of the crazy crap on the walls in the courtyard makes it very Marauder unfriendly.

They can only reach S2 or S3 if aliens feed them. Aliens have as much rights as humans to camp.
