Title: An Administration Guide

I'm trying to find a guide to administrate a Tremulous server. All I've found is general guidelines, not specifically a detailed HowTo sort've guide telling me how to do things the best way eg how to kick/ban effectively etc.

I have been advised to perform a !help on the console but it's not exactly friendly and what if the information scrolls off the page which is what has happend to me before?

Failing a documented guide is there some other way to learn?

Yes, I don't know if I want to be an admin of the GA server, but someone should be.

Well Yakuza was once our admin, but Game Arena seems to have ditched the idea of an admin and regulars, for various reasons I don't know. I doubt you'll be able to become one unfortunately, for if you can become one Fisher, so can Muj...

Why not Muj, or yourself. I know that I'm not the best candidate but for the moment I am willing. I don't play very much, and when I'm on people do generally behave themselves. I've only politely asked a few people to settle down and play right and they normally do even though I'm not an admin. Even the cpxxxx group aren't THAT bad, it would be nice if they team voted instead of just changing the rules (for example Last Man Standing).

If GA doesn't want me as an admin there's no skin off my nose, but someone should take it up. Why don't you try to take admin up, the more the merrier I say - provided that no-one abuses the privaledge it's OK.

Since most of the people on GA are reasonably well behaved my main aim, if GA would let me, is to update the maps and add a few in the rotation.

They might let us have Admins back... if you petition it

Personally I would really like Regulars back, from what I've heard Regulars are players who have been playing for 6+ months on Game Arena servers with limited Admin powers... such as !allready and !kick...

You'll probably have to convince them pretty hard that there won't be abusers, not all of us Veteran players get along all the time.
