Recompiled with full vis - fps is godly now. Fixed missing textures, models etc. And yes - i use nodraw for water.

Try not to use the same texture for ceiling, walls and floor. Make it less boxy. Human starting base is too cramped. The idea is getting there but the execution is severely lacking. Wouldn't release this under the name beta though.

About 1/2 of those pics where really dark. Mabey you could ad another light or two to the human base and random hallways.

I really like some of those textures, although I have to agree, don't make walls/roofs/floors the same. Also, in the dirt-textured rooms, try to give the wall some 3d-texture too.

Oh God, NO!! Leave it dark! If someone wants it brighter, they can mess with their own gamma.

I know - they look "a little bit" dark, but in trem (ofc depends on brightness that has been set) those places are lighter, and IMO playable.

Yeah,
I had a lot of server problems - but finally I fixed them.
I also did some optimalisations so the map's weight is much lower.

It also had a bug with BSP name. Now everything's ok.

lol... im startin to REALLY HATE MY ISP...
firstly - lags ... ive got lags all the time - regular lags (ping 999 for 20 seconds and then about 5 minutes of normal ping). omfg....
secondly - i did over 10 tries to upload a workin pk3 of watah beta 4... and now, while i was goin to bed - i tried the last one (bytes amount was ok etc) - lol... it doesnt work... fails while loading - wrong BSP version O_o........ omfg...
i cant stand it anymore... for now - no workin pk3... ill fix it tomorrow (or lol today! its half past midnight here...).
ok im sorry for those problems... watah b4 will be up tomorrow (today...)

I tried it and I must say it is really good :)
the water effect was just... awesome...
but gameplay won't be that good I believe... humans could rush right from the beginning.

rush right? what do you mean? i think you meant gameplay in beta2 (where alien base was extremely near to humans' - now its kinda far away) - but maybe im wrong.
im workin on b5 - now im makin it a lot more detailed. actually i decided to start it from 0 - so im re-makin it and addin new improvements. atm i made the human base (2 rooms connected with water corridor -- now tyrant will fit there) and those 2 symetric halls above it. i added some pipes, corrected water light issue and ofc detailed walls etc. i will publish some shots today or tomorrow
but really tell me - have you tested watah b2 or b4?

but lol, now theyre too bright O_o... in game those places look fine (imo), and dont expect those places will look the same in final b5 - im changin some of them.
notice that i began makin it from 0 - theyre fresh (and no hollow, substract and other crap - thx mappers xD)

Are you working on a few rooms that are circular? Everything I've seen so far is rectangular except for that giant column of light, and the little lights on the ceiling. I like the idea of having a map with a lot of water, but this one still needs a few more betas :)

Post up a link to the latest beta so i can make an accurate assesment. I know that texturing is a bitch and i myself leave it out till last. :)

Basic rule, never ever release previews. The only way to accurately judge a map is by playing it. Screens tell us barely anything. So we'll wait till you release the next one.

for a map that is pretty damn ugly, and contains many gimmicks, it is surprisilngly fun to play.

beta5 is unplayable due to a lack of vis-ing, and lots of missing textures.

Beta5 seems to be a complete rework of the map. It brought many new places and numerous new bugs, more than the new places. If you want do another great change, I think you should consider in changing the development status to Alpha instead of Beta.
The problems:
1. Whole map has FPS totally reduced in comparison to the Beta4. Tip: avoid building rooms inside bigger rooms what causes the game to render all the big one even if it is not visible, increasing lag and reducing frame-rate (FPS).
2. Many textures overlap giving very bad appearance in some places.
3. Some places are unplayable like the new lava and the subway. Remember we have aliens and humans in Tremulous.
4. Since your first version you don't have learned to use the Nodraw shader in water to avoid water-walls where two water brushes encounter each other.
5. I don't like the atcs force-field shader use you made in the "Airport".
6. Probably many more things I don't took notes.

What to do if I fall into the train tunnel? That is why I told it is unplayable. It is a long way to get to the first door, and the train will try to push you back:

you need to SHOOT at those button to trigger them - they are used to open the doors

those buttons work, need to be shot, and theyre used to dry the tanks in the labs (you call them - small tanks) - take out the water

damn i tried to fix it, but i couldnt - i think its because that water is a func_door at once (to make it moveable) - it causes a bug

As far as I know kazior's attitude to this map, he won't even look @ this map... so forget about it.
