There is a Tremulous Wiki (http://www.tremwiki.com/start)!!! Anyone and everyone please help edit it with your useful tips, tricks and suggestions. It would help greatly thanks!
P.S. (Yes I have edited some)
-
Am I to assume the parts discussing things only useful on high bp servers such as SST were parts of your edits?
-
No.
-
humans needs upgrades section
gren bsuit jpack bpack helmet larmour
-
Would a "basics guide" be one of the things your after (i.e. how to evolve, use items, buy stuff etc)? That's something everyone can do.
-
That page needs new design and its slow as hell :-?
-
Please add a development patches and mods section. It'd be nice to have manuals for the latest patches, SVN, balance mod, tremx, etc in one place.
-
If you thinks it needs something, why not edit it yourself.
I edited some incorrect information, why can't you?
-
It would be interesting to have a good manual and detailed info (list of cvars and commands and what they all do, perhaps even information about the various functions and how things operate on the server and client end). But ...

You're asking a wiki-virgin to create an entire new section. I'll do it, but consider yourself warned.
-
Start here:
http://tremulous.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1049
Put that up since dolby doesn't love us anymore :(...
(Don't tell me to do it myself. I don't care for the design, and i'm too busy!)
-
I've created links to server and client descriptions on the main page, now somebody with proper permissions will have to create those pages.
-
[list=1]Change it to MediaWiki
- Get a faster server[/list:o]
Then people will use it.
-
I posted this so if you had any tips or tricks you could post them; so stop telling me to: make this or make that. You do it.
Another thing, when I went on it worked fast and fine so why don't you guys upgrade your computers.
-
can create new page :(
-
this part made me laugh:
"The flamer, however, can be devastating to the user if used near a wall, FLOOR, a large foe, an alien structure, or anything that blocks it’s path"
-
Well, if you aim at the floor you'll die pretty fast. I can see the obvious misinterpretation that could arise from that statement though :)
-
LOL
-
Thanks for setting up the wiki! I think that might be good for collecting/structuring some stuff that's currently hidden in some old forum threads.
But how can users create new pages? Or can only the admin create new pages? Or did I just overlook the "Create new page" button?
-
I've added basic information about server versions and mods. Feel free to make some better formatting and somebody please add info about Balance mod, Tremx and other mods. There're also 2 more links waiting for page creation.

I'll add something about Balance mod.
EDIT: Doesn't look like I can add a new page! Theres a small blurb on Balance Mod in there now but I would like to add the entire content of the Balance Mod thread in and its quite a bit for such a small section. Can someone with privileges add a new page for me?
-
Yeah, it really would be nice if you used a real Wiki that also allowed people to actually do stuff.
I love how when you go to a page that doesn't exist it tells you how you can create the page, but you can't.
-
I did not make the wiki...it sucked so I posted this so noobs (and pros) could learn more/new things.
-
great job!
-
Yeah, it would be a hell of a lot better if we could make new pages.
-
its a wiki, isn't it? can't u switch to mediawiki, its a lot better..
-
I think its a great idea. Just a heads up I'm working on a tweaking section for the wiki right now which will cover basic and advanced tweaking. The first section will cover how to use the in game options to tweak the game best for your system or at least explain what everything does. The advanced tweaking section will cover cfg files. Basically anyone who have been playing trem for a while now should have there own personal autoexec file and if they don't this will help them make their own. I hope to have it up on the wiki in a few days.
-
Yeah, it would be a hell of a lot better if we could make new pages.
Anonymous users can now create pages.

Thank you guys for helping with the wiki (I DID NOT MAKE IT THOUGH) it's a great help for noobs and pro's alike.
