Title: Avenger's fixed QVM
Post by: Paradox on December 07, 2006, 05:14:28 am
Well, for about a month now, sst has been running a special QVM, with many patches to tjws, and a few of R1's commands added. I posted a link, and list of the changes at the tremulous server project group (http://groups-beta.google.com/group/TremServer) on google, here is a link to the page with info about it:
http://groups-beta.google.com/group/TremServer/web/avengers-fixed-qvm

In a nutshell, this adds a few new vote, designate and denybuild, and a number of other patches, complete list at the page.

For example when you votekick, you give a reason why.

Example: "Kick Radiohead for Tking for no reason"

We have been running avengers qvm on yaknet for about a month also.  I highly recomend it.  It has helped with deconners and noob builders.  I have predesignated most of our regular players that like to build.

Thanks for the great qvm avenger

Also, since google redesigned the groups, there is now the capibility to post a wiki like set of pages, files and other things. I have the group tremulous server project, there would be  a good place for stuff like rules and tips.

Wow, then you're going to hate me when I tell you there's a new version (http://mkpdev.googlepages.com/) :P

I just updated to the latest version, download link is still the same on the group, but there is the old one too, gameold.qvm, under the files.

No, not to the best of my knowledge.

Also, there are no links to the latest version at his page, only the older links.

I assume "no" based on the info in the readme. I love the updates, but my regulars love the "g_suddenDeathMode" set to 2.

Hope it gets implemented.

I trust my guys with !admintest, can I somehow set it so only admin can !admintest? Or is there a way to just disable the private admintest altogether? 8)

That was done to prevent admins from spamming !admintest. But presumably, if they are admins, they should know better than doing that. Also, I figured the purpose of !admintest is so you know if you are an admin. It is just like that in the one version.

You can entirely disable !admintest by removing the "a" flag from all admin levels (use "-a" if necessary).
