No, we do have enouth info to give a solution. Pick one :
- install latest drivers
- if cg is ATI, install older drivers
- reinstall windows
- change cg
- downclock computer
- change computer

Stof, I'd agree with you if he hadn't also tried to run trem on Linux and gotten the same result.
-
Good, it means he only has to select from the 3 last options to fix his problem :)
PS : that was my 1000 post ! Yeah.

Have you tried running Quake 3 as a test?
If it runs, then you have a specific problem with Tremulous.
If it doesn't, then you might have a problem with running the Quake 3 engine.

On one thing we all can agree, I guess :)
We need more information about the computer used.

Ah ha, I've run into this issue before and it really pisses me off when I need to go on for clan stuff. Simply restart your computer, and reload tremulous, also might work better if you start up your computer, log into your account, and wait like 15 minutes than try an load the game.
Does it freeze on a white screen? If it does try this, it will eventually work. Or you could just reinstall by downloading a new set of files... My way should definitely work

If the game freezes and shows only white screen, your driver's opengl support is buggy, download latest drivers.
If it freezes in any other stage you are running windows

maybe it overheated?
