Title: Linux Tremulous Client Side Statistics TCSS 0.03
Post by: Firebird on December 29, 2006, 10:08:22 PM
After 7 hours of development I bring you:
Tremulous Client Side Statistics TCSS 0.03

This useful utility tracks kills, deaths, and other useful things like kill ratio.

The utility outputs results to a html file as you see here:

This sort of thing should just be a python script or something of the sort, compatible accross the board.

You missed a couple environmental and miscellaneous:
* killed itself.
* did a back-flip into the lava.
* died.
* saw the light.
* melted.
All of which are currently in the game code, and I've seen them all in-game!!!

Lava isn't quite so common so.. oops

"* melted" is not acid tube, play in arcadia and jump off the edge.
"* saw the light", one balance patch (v13) misattributed the death names to other things, and I saw it there.
Ok, it doesn't quite count, but its there.

"saw the light" is for death cause of type MOD_TARGET_LASER. I don't think there is a way to cause such death type in the game. I guess it would be used to kill players that step in front of big ass lasers you might find in some maps :)

My record was 29 weeks and some odd days, but that was on XP. Yes, XP.

Ubuntu record is like a week so far, its only been installed for like a month though.

I have a Mac, and I've had them running for months as well.
Nowadays we turn them off just to save power.

One question. What are the linux requirements. PHP is easy to install on windows, same with many other things like pearl. What makes it linux only? UNIX? Cygwin...

Umm, it's a bash script?

What's the point of leaving the computer on overnight?

Quote from: raytray25Umm, it's a bash script?

what he/she said.

my friend tried running that script in cygwin and it didn't seem to work, i think because of the bash shortcuts like pipes, etc.

what a waste of electricity!
