In case someone didn't play any of unreal's saga games there is a weapon called biogun that have two fire modes:
Primary shoot a small green blob that stick to any surface it touchs and stays for a little time or till someone touch it getting damage.
Secondary is a charged blob. It uses more ammunition but is bigger, stays longer,do far more damage while fully charged and on the moment it touch any wall it sprays a few small blobs (depending on charge time).
I think a weapon like that could be a good addition to humans arsenal.Primary should do around 5-8 damage and stay for around 2-3 seconds and a fully charged (4-5 seconds of charge) secondary should do around 40-60 with only use of 5 ammo and stays for around 8-12 seconds

Why would we need such gun?

Why would we need such gun?
The same reason we need more than just a dretch and rifle; fun.

But that gun sounds just like a lucifer cannon with modified effects. I don't think that this game needs guns that are only for fun. All other weapons have some real use, that would just be purely annoying remake of lucy...

that gun was one of the suckiest most annoyingly useless gun in the entire game.

yeah, that was the worst weapon in UT, no idea why they kept bringing it back.

please dont borrow ideas Create them

Oh :S i see that my idea of borrowing that weapon didn't like perhaps because i didn't explain the reasons i had to propose that weapon
The main reason is:It doesn't shoot in a straigth line.It shoot in a curved line so you can reach places that any of the current weapons aren't able to hit. Also the staying a little in the surfaces would ve very useful when leading with several dretches because you don't need to aim at all at the same time instead make them "a path" to their death

It doesn't fit with the current human weapons. Really, this is just fancy Granger spit.
What sort of firing rate does the primary have? How much ammo can you carry? How much of the ground does it cover? Does it do the same damage if you walk over the goo as by being shot by it? Could it be abused by spamming the floor of a hallway?
Arcing projectiles really is more of a handicap than something useful.

The biogun was made so that you could appreciate every other weapon.

Sounds like the Sapper in Resistance: Fall of Man.
It would actually be reasonably useful in Trem, for temporarily blocking entrances and such. To keep people from spamming it, make it like grenades where you don't get free ammo, you have to pay for each reload.
