I've dled all of the files and put them in baseq3\tremulous. Trem doesn't show up in the mod selection and I can't set the game to trem in the console. I've triend set game amd set fs_game. fs_game gets me a can't write error.
-
Don't put the tremulous folder in baseq3. Should just be in your q3 folder.
-
still doesn't work
-
you sure you have all the files in /Quake3/tremulous/ folder? You got latest pointrelaease of Q3 too?
-
I have the 1.32 version. I don't have all of the maps, only astbase3. I think I unzipped all of the files, I'll check
Also the maps are bsp not pk3, if you have pk3's
[edit] doh I forgot to unzip the uiassets zips, I'll see if to works now
[edit] Found I didn't have buildable 00. I unziped that. Still no
Also, when I try set fs_game it says fs_game is write protected. O.o
-
alright
umm, let me just walk you through this, if you know what im talking about skip it over.
make a directory under quake3 call tremulous (/quake3/tremulous/)
download ALL the pk3s
place them in the directory, without unpacking
run tremulous with the following command line:
...quake3.exe +set fs_game tremulous +set cl_allowDownload 1 +set com_hunkmegs 100
should work then
also, try a connection to the trem server; add
"+connect acheron.r1gameservers.com:27960"
to the command line above

download ALL the pk3s
I only got zip files, not pk3s
run tremulous with the following command line:
...quake3.exe +set fs_game tremulous +set cl_allowDownload 1 +set com_hunkmegs 100
In the quake 3 console, in a DOS prompt, or something else?
Yes yes, I'm quite the noob
[edit] hey, the files are .pk3.zip, do I jsut need to rename them to .pk3?
-
ok, I've rename all the zips to pk3 and trem works now.
But none of the maps show up. I've tried putting the maps in the trem folder and in trem\maps and just in the trem folder. I've launched a dedcated server and I think my problem is it can't find the null map
-
if your maps are still in pk3 compression leave them in the trem base folder (quake3/tremulous) they have the paths inside the paks... if thats not it i dont know what to tell you
-
I've gotten it to work. Now that I understand I bet I was a pain in the butt
-
n.p
sry i didnt see your post befor (the one with quotes).
um, when dling the files make sure you use the option of saving them as all file types (should be a drop down bar on your download window)
you can run trem from 'start->run' in windows. dos prompts usually give you an error when you try to run it from within them, and from the counsol its a bit hard to run as well.
