I cant seem to find a way to set a profile photo, plz help me wih this noobish question.

I think the avatar function is disabled, normally it can be set via profile (http://tremulous.net/phpBB2/profile.php?mode=editprofile).
Did spot some devs having one though, yep - very unfair :'(

Really, it's a free game, and they pay for the site and all, having a crapload of pics uploaded or linked would be bad. The devs have already said as much. So, unless you want to make a substantial contribution...
