It counted down to zero, and nothing happened.

Now, it's back at 9 minutes.  I feel gipped.

I don't get how something as simple (and not so eloquently titled) as source forts could beat trem. Still, great to be runner up.

Ok, so from what I can gleam from a ModDB person on IRC, the 'standalone game of the year' will be announced tomorrow along with the editor's choice awards (which we also have a shot at). <_<

Aw... no wonder there was no best stand alone in the list.

That's good that there is s standalone award or else how could any mod beat the countless drones that flock around CS and CS:S and it's engine :)

cs:s mod would not get award even if it were only mod. You think too much cs:s as it's own game when it's actualy just "mod" of hl2 with some stand-alone properties. Pretty much same as gmod10$

The website is a nightmare to surf. I really had to say it somewhere.

Well, I know what CS:S is and the point I made stands correct ;) Those that play CS or CS:S are more likely to try another HL/HL2 mod. And more players means more votes.

No, it's Quake II!

And OverFlow, time to go visit ModDB HQ with mister Baseball Bat yet?

actualy most of people playing css don't lay a finger on mods. Most of mod players hate when mod is compared to css. Mod players who own css got it with hl2 and haven't played it more than tested few times.

Can somebody explain how to find out the winner through surfing the ModDB website? I think this has to be the most illogical, overburdened website I've ever seen
